SIMON MONDAY CHALLENGE THINGS WITH WINGS

Ciao a tutti! Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog oggi vi chiede di utilizzare qualcosa con le ali se volete partecipare alla nostra sfida settimanale! THINGS WITH WINGS è il tema!

This week we are challenging you to use: Things With Wings

Io oggi ho ripreso il mio Journal di Archer & Olive con le pagine color Kraft ( che è l'unica cosa che non troverete nella lista dei materiali perchè viene dalle mie scorte personali!). Sono stata molto ispirata in questo periodo da Marina Blaukitchen (su Instagram la trovate come blaukitchen) che da poco tempo è nella squadra dei makers di Tim Holtz. Le sue pagine sono spettacolari e ispirandomi a queste, ho voluto provare anch'io a cimentarmi nella creazione di una pagina a tema, sfruttando l'argomento di oggi! Per rimanere nel tema ho usato farfalle, le due grandi in particolare le ho ritagliate( retaggio della mia passione per il decoupage!) da un foglio che viene dal pack di Idea-ology Backdrops Volume 1. Anche tutti gli altri layers che vedete nel journal sono stati realizzati con pezzi presi da svariati pack Idea-Ology. Con la fustella Sizzix Specimen ho tagliato il pezzo che fa da base alla mia Paper Doll, con la fustella Crochet le parti che sembrano fatte all'uncinetto e con la fustella Gift Tags la mini tag in alto a destra. La tag grande l'ho colorata con vari Distress Spray Stain che trovate nella lista dei materiali in fondo. Da spiegare c'è poco, quello che ho capito , almeno questo vale per me, è che nella creazione di una pagina di journal bisogna solo lasciarsi trasportare ed iniziare, il resto vieme da sè!

Today I resumed my Archer & Olive Journal with Kraft color pages (which is the only thing you won't find in the materials list because it comes from my personal stock!). I have been very inspired in this period by Marina Blaukitchen (on her Instagram you can find her as blaukitchen) who has recently joined Tim Holtz's team of makers. Her pages are spectacular and I was inspired by these, I too wanted to try my hand at creating a themed page, using today's topic! To stay within the theme I used butterflies, the two large ones in particular I cut them out (legacy of my passion for decoupage!) from a sheet that comes from the Idea-ology Backdrops Volume 1 pack. Also, all the other layers you see in the journal were made with pieces taken from various Idea-Ology packs. With the Sizzix Specimen die I cut the piece that forms the basis of my Paper Doll, with the Crochet, die the parts that seem to be crocheted, and with the Gift Tags die the mini tag at the top right. I colored the big tag with various Distress Spray Stains that you can find in the list of materials at the bottom. There is little to explain, what I understood, at least this is true for me, is that in creating a journal page you just have to let yourself be carried away and start, the rest comes by itself!

Ciao a tutti! Oggi il tema di Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog è THINGS WITH WHEELS. Interpretazione come sempre molto libera, sono convinta che qualche tipo di ruota la troverete e la userete in modo fantasioso!

This week we are challenging you to use: Things With Wheels

La mia ispirazione è partita pensando al set Observations di Stampers Anonymous per Tim Holtz che ha al suo interno un bordo di ingranaggi splendido. Ho pensato di utilizzarlo colorandolo con il nuovo Lost Shadow e la Foundry Wax Gilded. Per ottenere un risultato abbastanza preciso e pulito questo passaggio va attuato così: prima timbrate con un inchiostro tipo Contour Ink di Hero Arts che vi consente di vedere la forma che dovete colorare ma è quasi trasparente. Il secondo passaggio è colorare la vostra timbrata (lasciando in posizione sulla vostra piattaforma sia il timbro che la tag) e come ultima cosa dovete timbrare di nuovo con l'inchiostro che avete scelto. Nel mio caso ho usato il Versamark con polvere da embossing nera. In questo modo le eventuali piccole imprecisioni della colorazione non si vedono (o quasi!).Questo mi sembra la tecnica più importante da segnalarvi tra quelle che ho utilizzato questa settimana. Per entrambe le tag ho scelto una palette molto neutra fatta di grigio nero dorato con un tocco di bianco. Spero vi piaccia anche se è differente dai colori abbastanza vivaci che utilizzo di solito. In fondo trovate i materiali che ho utilizzato.

My inspiration started thinking about the Observations set by Stampers Anonymous for Tim Holtz which has a beautiful border of gears inside. I thought about using it by coloring it with the new Lost Shadow and Foundry Wax Gilded. To obtain a fairly precise and clean result, this step should be implemented as follows: first you have to stamp with an ink such as Contour Ink by Hero Arts which allows you to see the shape you have to color but is almost transparent. The second step is to color your stamp (leaving both the stamp and the tag in place on your platform) and lastly you must stamp again with the ink of your choice. In my case I used Versamark with black embossing powder. In this way any small inaccuracies of the coloring are not seen (or almost!). This seems to be the most important technique to tell you among the ones I used this week. For both tags, I chose a very neutral palette made of gold black gray with a touch of white. I hope you like it even if it's different from the pretty bright colors I usually use. At the bottom you will find the materials I used.
