Secondo challenge di quest'anno: STENCIL IT! Non credo abbiate bisogno di spiegazioni su come affrontare la sfida! C'e' da divertirsi! Questa settimana grazie all'argomento proposto da Simon Monday Challenge Blog, ho voluto liberare un pochino la mente e lasciare andare le mani e la fantasia! Il mio spirito Steampunk ha preso il sopravvento e viste le novità del CHA di Tim so che mi divertirò tutto l'anno! Il mio progetto è un piccolo quadernino che ho alterato per annotare le idee che mi vengono spesso all'improvviso! E che di solito... dimentico!

This week the challenge is: STENCIL IT!!!
There are so many fabulous stencils available right now and there are so many techniques you can use with them. It is fun to ink, spray or use embossing paste, lots of options and the end result is always a little bit unpredictable. It is a fabulous way to create your own backgrounds, or the designs can be the focus of attention. Of course you can always create your own stencils, whatever you decide to do we will be looking forward to seeing what you create.
Sometimes I have an idea for my projects: details, a particular way of binding, a technique ... To remind these ideas, I decided to alter a small notebook with Distress paints and stencils! A touch of metal and a beautiful image from "Found relavitives" by Tim Holtz made my work perfect for my creative notes!

Ho alterato un piccolo notes, l'ho rivestito con Tim Holtz Idea-ology POSTALE Tissue Wrap Paper e gesso, poi dipinto con Distress paint Cracked Pistachio e Dried Marigold. E fin qui tutto normale... poi lo spirito Steampunk si è impadronito di me e ho cominciato con lo stencil Tim Holtz Layering Stencil TYPO usato in modo tradizionale con Texture paste mischiata a Distress paint Pumice tone.
Gli ingranaggi sono un vecchio stencil The Crafter Workshop usato come timbro, nel senso che ho inchiostrato lo stencil col Versamark , timbrato e cosparso di un mix di polveri da embossing! Il risultato è sufficientemente sporco e imperfetto, proprio come lo volevo! Qualche tocco di metallo, una bella immagine ed è finito!

Before to start my project I covered the notes with Tim Holtz Idea-ology POSTALE Tissue Wrap Paper. After, I altered it with gesso and Distress paints. Once dry, I used the stencil Tim Holtz Layering Stencil TYPO in a traditional way, with texture paste. At this point the spirit Steampunk has taken over! The gears are stamped with a stencil. Yes, I used a stencil as a stamp! I inked the stencil with Versamark, stamped and sprinkled with a mix of embossing powders. Metal embellishments and a beautiful vintage image complete the work!

Per la spina del quaderno ho usato il Metallic cardstock Kraft core nel colore bronzo, stropicciandolo e sporcandolo con i Distress paints.
For the spine of my notes I cut and distressed a piece of Metallic Cardstock Core'dinations!

SIMON SAYS : SOMETHING NEW!

Ciao a tutti e di nuovo Buon 2016! La nostra prima sfida vi vuole stimolare a pensare a qualcosa di nuovo. una nuova casa, nuovi propositi, un prodotto nuovo... qualsiasi cosa purchè abbia a che fare con la parola nuovo! Questa settimana iniziamo anche noi con due novità! La prima è che il Design Team vi mostra i prodotti di Tim Holtz, tutti i membri hanno lavorato con questo marchio! La seconda molto interessante è questa: ogni mese vi proporremo un Designer ospite che lavorerà con noi! E' per me un grande onore e un grande piacere presentarvi il nostro primo Designer Spotlight : la nostra italianissima Zoey aka Scrapsaurus! Orgogliosa di averla con noi!!!!! Non vi resta che andare a vedere tutti i nostri lavori e ispirarvi! Vogliamo vedere tanti nuovi progetti!

Hi to everyone! With the dawning of a New Year New it’s time to think about Something New, New Baby, New Home, New Job, New Crafty Stash, I am sure you will all think of something and we will be looking forward to seeing what it is!
We are showcasing Tim Holtz Products this week, you don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge, but if you have them we would love to see them used!
We are starting something ‘NEW’ on this challenge too! We will be inviting crafters to join us in a monthly Designer Spotlight. We will be looking for vintage, artistic style designers, so if you would like an opportunity in the spotlight then please enter the challenges and show your arty side. Our first designer in the spotlight is the lovely and super talented Zoey aka Scrapsaurus. Zoey has a fabulous blog and if you haven’t visited her before then you are in for a real treat! Please visit her blog and give her a warm welcome!

Poteva esserci per me modo migliore di inizare l'anno? Non credo! Tutti sapete la mia adorazione per Tim .... Ho cominciato creando un calendario ispirato ai suoi prodotti che potete usare sia da tavolo sia da parete!
Ikea è spesso presente e utile nei miei progetti! La struttura è una normale cornice Ribba bianca ( che ho alterato ovviamente!) e sempre Ikea è la vite che ho usato per appendere le tag! Inizialmente avevo pensato a un gancio, poi rovistando nella scatola degli attrezzi e residui di montaggi di mobili Ikea , ho trovato una vite perfetta! Si può svitare e riavvitare mantenendo ferme le tags!
Ora smetto di parlare perchè ho tante foto da mostrarvi!

What better way for me to start this year of challenges! I want to celebrate the new year with a calender inspired by Tim's products! I used tags and stamps to display days , letterpress to show the year, Idea-ology stuff to enrich my project and all kind of Distress ! I hope you like it !
You can choice the way to use this project: desk calendar or wall hanging ! Ikea often takes part in my projects! Ribba frame by Ikea is the structure of my calendar! To alter it I used Distress products! I have a lot of pictures to show you! Now I stop to talk! I have lots of photos to show you!

Il design delle tag è semplice: timbri agli angoli , timbro sfondo quasi invisibile e il calendario, che ho scaricato dal blog di Paula Cheney. Vedendo il suo post mi è venuta l'idea di crearne uno anch'io, perciò ringrazio Paula che mi ha come sempre ispirato!!!!! Per indicare il mese ho deciso di togliere lo stampato e tagliare con l'alfabeti Alphanumeric di Tim . Poi ho riempito le letterine con cardstock kraft core.
The design is simple: a few stamps in the corners, a stamp for the background and the calendar, which I downloaded from this Paula Cheney's post. I had the idea to create my own calendar seeing this wonderful post: thanks so much Paula for your inspiration!!
I decided to cut the month from the printable calendar. To write the month, I used the alphabet "Alphanumeric" directly on the tag, and then I filled the letters with kraft cardstock core.

In questa foto vi mostro il meccanismo che ho usato per appendere le tag e per poterle cambiare ogni mese. E' una vite con due due teste, una delle quali svitabile: perfetta per quello che avevo in mente!! Adoro Ikea! Hanno sempre una soluzione!

In this picture I show the mechanism that I used for hanging tags and change them every month. It 'a screw with two heads, one of which can be unscrewed: perfect for what I had in mind !! I love Ikea! They always have a solution!

Questi sono i passaggi per inserire la vite che sostiene le tag, manca solo la foto del retro in cui ho bloccato la vite con colla a caldo.

These are the steps to insert the screw that support the tags, just missing the picture of the back of the frame with the screw locked with hot glue.
