SIMON MONDAY CHALLENGE LAYER IT UP!

Ciao a tutti! Eccoci qui con la nuova sfida settimanale per Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog: LAYER IT UP! Si tratta di creare strati nel vostro lavoro, ovviamente libertà assoluta_ dalla carta , ai colori , agli acquerelli....spazio all'immaginazione!

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.
Thanks for all of your fabulous entries into the ‘Handmade Flowers’ Challenge and we hope you will join in this week too!
This week we are challenging you to Layer It Up.

Oggi ho scelto di alterare una mini clipboard di Tim Holtz e sperimentare il gesso con i Distress Oxides. Ecco come ho fatto

Today I have chosen to alter a mini clipboard  by Tim Holtz, I made  an experiment with  gesso and Distress Oxides. Here's how I did it

La prima cosa da fare è ricoprire interamente la superficie con il gesso. Ho usato  Heavy Gesso di Prima marketing perchè crea uno strato bello spesso. Una volta asciugato ho cominciato il secondo strato del mio lavoro con i Distress oxides fino al risultato che volevo ottenere.

The first thing to do is to cover completely the surface with gesso. I used Heavy gesso Prima marketing because it creates an opaque  thick layer. Once dried I started the second layer of my work with Distress oxides until  the result is what you want.

Per il terzo strato ho usato sempre gli Oxides per colorare lo sfondo. Quarto e ultimo strato dello sfondo con Texture paste transparent gloss e stencil. Risultato piacevolissimo. La texture paste gloss quando è asciutta rende i colori più saturi e più brillanti e crea l'effetto " bianco" negli spazi vuoti dello stencil. E' solo un effetto e confesso che mi piace tanto!

For the third layer I've used  Oxides ( again!) to paint over gesso. I create fourth and last layer of the background with Texture paste transparent gloss and stencil. The result is very pleasant. When texture paste gloss dries makes the colors more vivid and more brilliant and creates the "faux white" effect in the empty spaces. It 's just an effect, there isn't white color  and I confess that I love  it so much!

Nella foto sopra si vede molto bene l'effetto bianco che vi spiegavo prima!

In the picture above you can see very well the faux white effect that I mentioned before!

Tutti gli altri strati sono di carta! le nuove Paper Dolls di Tim e tutti gli altri abbellimenti Idea-ology sono favolosi proprio per creare collage a strati!
For all the other layers I used the new Paper Dolls by Tim and all other Idea-ology embellishments. They are fabulous just to create layered collage!

Per rifinire il lavoro ho usato lungo tutti i bordi un Tissue tape di Tim e Distress Crayon Ground Espresso. Di strati direi che ce ne sono abbastanza!
