This week we are challenging you to make something...Feminine/Girly!!!

Lo ammetto... l'argomento per me è piuttosto difficile...non amo molto il rosa, non amo tutto ciò che è troppo femminile... e propro per questo ho deciso di sfidare me stessa e creare qualcosa di femminile ma non sdolcinato! Non so se ci sono riuscita ... il risultato non mi dispiace soprattutto adoro queste due Dolls, le trovo meravigliose! E da loro sono partita!
I admit it ... the subject is rather difficult for me ... I do not really love pink, I do not like everything that is too feminine ... and exactly for this reason I decided to challenge myself and create something feminine but not saccharine! I do not know if I succeeded ... the result I do not mind especially I love these two Dolls, I find them wonderful! I taken my inspiration from them...
Ho iniziato rivestendo una tela con un foglio di patterned paper di Tim Holtz e stendendo um strato di gesso. In questo modo ho schiarito il colore della carta e ho preparato la base.
Su due angoli ho lavorato con texture paste e lo stencil di Tim Holtz Flourish, un classico sempre meraviglioso! Asciugata la texture paste ho usato due tonalità di rosa Tattered Rose e Victorian velvet in versione Distress Crayons e in superficie un velo sottile di cera di Prima Marketing Rose Gold.
I started by covering a canvas with Tim Holtz's patterned paper and spreading a layer of white gesso. In this way I lightened the color of the paper and I prepared the base.
On the edges I worked with textured pastas and the stencil of Tim Holtz Flourish, an always wonderful classic! Once texture paste has dried, I used over it two shades of pink: Tattered Rose and Victorian velvet in the Distress Crayons version and a thin veil of Prima Marketing Rose Gold wax on the surface.
Per le due tag rosa che sotto la cornice verde ho utilizzato un ritaglio di heavystock e lo stencil Ornate ma al contrario. Ho spruzzato Aged Mahogany sullo stencil e ho appoggiato sopra il cartoncino, utilizzandolo come fosse un timbro. Poi ho colorato con Distress ink pad Antique linen, Vintage photo e un filo di Aged mahogany. Alla fine ho steso uno strato di gesso per schiarire e ho tagliato le due tag.
La farfalla.... già lo sapete che questa fustella mi piace tantissimo. Qui ho voluto fare un esperimento timbrando parte delle ali con Glorious bouquet e colorando i fiori con tonalità di rosa e rosso. Confesso che ne ho tagliate e timbrate parecchie prima di trovare quella giusta... Ho usato lo stesso metodo per la tag e per il cartoncino che fa da sfondo sotto la cornice.
For the two pink tags under the green frame I used a scrap of Heavystock and the Ornate stencil... but on the contrary. I sprayed Aged Mahogany on the stencil and I placed my scrap of cardstock over it, using the stencil as if it were a stamp. Then I colored with Distress ink pad Antique linen, Vintage photo and a little bit of Aged mahogany. To finish I spread a layer of white gesso to lighten and I cut my two tags.
The butterfly .... you already know that I really love this die! Here I wanted to do an experiment stamping part of the wings with Glorious bouquet and coloring the flowers with shades of pink and red. I confess that I have cut and stamped several before finding the right one ... I used the same method for tag and cardstock in the background of the green frame
Ed ecco le mie Dolls, queste in particolare mi piacciono tantissimo!
Drumroll ... my Dolls, this couple is one of my favorite!
Il fiocco è realizzato con passamaneria davvero vintage dalla mia "collezione" ereditata dalla mia mamma. Ho colorato parte del nastro che ho utilizzato con Distress spray Tattered Rose e ho aggiunto una decorazione idea-ology. Nella foto sopra potete vedere anche il timbro Script di Wendy Vecchi usato in modo casuale sullo sfondo del progetto.
The bow is made with really vintage trimmings from my "collection" inherited from my mother. I colored part of the ribbon I used with Distress Spray Tattered Rose and added an Idea-ology decoration. In the picture above you can also see Script stamp by Wendy Vecchi used randomly against the background of the project.

The ribbon caught my eye first and it's beautiful. I know what you mean about pink but Tattered Rose and Victorian Velvet look so lovely paired with the light sage. The "tattoo" on the butterfly--oustanding!!
