A VINTAGE JOURNEY NOVEMBER TAG FRIDAY

Ciao a tutti!

Hello everyone! Today is the last Friday of the month and on A Vintage Journey Challenge Blog it's time for tags! I hope that our appointment with  November's Tag Friday will inspire you with the wonderful creations of our Creative Guides, you can find them all HERE!

The months of November and December are always very busy with all the cards and tags to be prepared! For this reason today I want to show you three easy and quick tags but very very festive!

Nell'angolo destro ho utilizzato lo stencile parkle in versione mini insieme Versamark, Brutus Monroe Icicle embossing powder e Tim Holtz Didstress Glitter Clear Rock Candy.

For the two tags with the central sentiment, the process is the same!
I started by choosing a word that alone could fill a lot of space, the tag must be fast but impressive and surely these beautiful Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous stamps don't need much else to make your cards and tags fabulous!
I stamped with two Midas inks in Gold and Platinum colors, then for the corners, I took white gesso and I stamped a sprig in a tag and in the other a poinsettia. Obviously, as I already said many times, immediately you have to wash the stamp after stamping it with chalk. To stamp the white base is extremely important on tags and cards with a black background because it helps to make evident and lively the colors you'll stamp. If you don't, you risk a very dark effect.
If you prefer, you can also do this step with white ink. I prefer white gesso because it is more opaque.  It's absolutely helpful the platform by Tim Holtz, in this way you can clean the stamp from the chalk leaving it in position for the next stamping with color, in this case, green.
Stamp with green as many times as you like until you get the result you want.
In the right corner, I used Sparkle stencil together with Versamark, Brutus Monroe Icicle embossing powder and Tim Holtz Distress Glitter Clear Rock Candy.

Dettagli come sempre

For the second tag with a gold-stamped background, I added only a  brightly colored stamp to make it stand out against the black. I chose a beautiful Vintage Santa Claus and colored it with Distress inks like watercolors.
For the bows, fortunately, I still have a few packages of Crinkle ribbon that are no longer in production ... unfortunately! I colored the ribbon with two Distress stain sprays. The tags are finished, ready to be sent!
If I make it in the next few days I will try to offer you this type of tag with different backgrounds, kraft and colored with Oxides!
Details as always

SIMON MONDAY CHALLENGE TAPE IT UP

Ciao a tutti!

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Recycle Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week we would like you to create something using tape:  Tape It Up
It is Nikki’s last week with us in the Designer Spotlight and we would like to say a huge thank you for all of your creations over the past month. It has been a real pleasure to have you along with us :-)

I have to be honest: I don't often use this type of product. I would say that it is not one of the things that I naturally use ... maybe because my hands don't get dirty? Likely! In any case, I like to test myself with elements that I usually don't use, it's fun to see what comes up when the theme doesn't perfectly fit my preferences!
I took out the last two packages of Tim Holtz's Christmas Design Tape and started thinking. I didn't want to use them in the background, I wanted them to really be the protagonists of my project. What better than the new die by Tim Holtz, Patchwork bird? So I started very simply by covering some rectangles of cardstock with some different kinds of tape and cutting the pieces that are used to build the Christmas robin.

As a second step I built the background of the square card. I cut a circle from a sheet of light linen from Textile Surfaces by Idea-ology (I don't know if it is still in production but I still have two more!)  I stamped with Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous's Lumberjack set. I cut the frame with red cardboard and made the rest of the card with the Christmas patterned papers by Tim Holtz Idea-ology.

Vi lascio i dettagli come sempre!

To create the tag I worked on the background getting my hands dirty with Oxides Spray! I hate using gloves and being very messy and inattentive I get dirty absolutely always !!!! I started spreading the Grit Paste through the mini stencil with the diamond pattern. Once the Grit paste has dried I colored the background with three very neutral colors of Oxides Spray (list of materials at the bottom as always). I cut in the left corner the word Joy from the die Circle Words and then stamped with some drawings from Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous's Yuletide Gathering set. I finished with Christmas red Stickles and with a bow made with Jute String Christmas by Idea-ology (I don't even know if it's still in production ... but I still keep two of them ... anyway!)
For the gilded parts, I used an adhesive sheet glittered Idea-ology Deco sheet and unfortunately, I do not know if it is still in production.
I finished my project with adhesive tapes!
I leave you the details as always!
