SIMON MONDAY CHALLENGE USE AT LEAST ONE STENCIL

 

Non si può dire che sia un buon giorno, oggi mi dovrete scusare, non mi riesce di scrivere come sempre faccio, spiegazioni e altro relativamente al progetto che ho preparato per la sfida settimanale di Simon Says Stamp. Non ce la faccio, vi mostro la mia tag e se volete distrarvi un pochino dalla situazione che ci circonda seguiteci per abbandonare per qualche minuto i pensieri oppressivi che credo in questo momento siano nelle teste di tutti noi. Eccovi le foto e il tema della settimana: USE AT LEAST ONE STENCIL

It cannot be said that it is a good day, today you will have to excuse me, I am unable to write as I always do, explanations and more regarding the project I have prepared for the Simon Says Stamp weekly challenge. I can not do it, I show you my tag, and if you want to distract yourself a little from the situation that surrounds us, follow us to abandon for a few minutes the oppressive thoughts that I believe are in the minds of all of us right now. Ciao a tutti e benvenuti a un'altra settimana su Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog!
Grazie per esservi uniti a noi per la Food/Drink Challenge e speriamo che ci seguirete anche questa settimana.
Oggi il tema è: ART JOURNAL.

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Food/Drink Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week the challenge is to: ART JOURNAL.


Per spiegarvi il mio progetto di questa settimana partiamo da due  presupposti. Il primo: quando devo affrontare temi come questo ammetto di essere sempre in difficoltà perchè Art Journal non è proprio la mia dimensione. Cerco sempre un modo per riuscire a restare in tema senza forzare troppo la mia natura! Secondo presupposto: sono una persona disorganizzatissima, perso un sacco di tempo in cose inutili o a girovagare sul web o a fare cose non necessarie. Quando ho cercato come poter, non dico risolvere, ma almeno ridurre il problema, ho trovato quella che spero sarà la mia soluzione: Bullet Journal, un journal dove hai modo di annotare tutto, con in ordine e schemi precisi per tracciare i tuoi imprgni e i tuoi risultati. Non necessariamente deve essere "artistico" come l'Art Journal, ma ovviamente per una persona creatva come me potrà contenere anche qualche pagina di questo genere. In rete ho visto tantissimi Bullet Journal e quaasi tutti avevano uno stile decisamente moderno, abbastanza lontano da come sono io. Però mi sono detta che ognuno deve creare il suo Bullet Journal seguendo le sue inclinazioni. Così oggi partiamo dalla copertina in stile vintage/grunge come piace a me! Lo so, la spiegazione è stata lunga ma doverosa! 

To explain my project this week, let's start with two assumptions. The first: when I have to deal with themes like this I admit that I am always in trouble because Art Journal is not exactly what I do best. I'm always looking for a way to be able to stay on topic without forcing my nature too much! Second assumption: I am a very messy person, waste a lot of time in useless things or wandering around the web or doing unnecessary things. when I looked for something to help me solve this problem or at least reduce the problem, I found what I hope will be my solution: Bullet Journal, a journal where you have the opportunity to write down everything, within the order and precise schemes that track your results. It does not necessarily have to be "artistic" as the Art Journal, but obviously, for a creative person like me, it could also contain some pages of this kind. On the net, I have seen many Bullet Journals and almost all of them had a decidedly modern style, quite far from how I am. But I told myself that everyone has to create their own Bullet Journal following their inclinations. So today let's start with the vintage/grunge style cover as I like it! I know, the explanation was long but necessary!





Spiegazione "tecnica " in punti che vi sarà più chiara guardando le foto sopra. 
1) Per la parte superiore della copertina del Journal: create una maschera da usare sopra al vostro ritaglio di Heavystock prima di colorarlo con Distress spray stain, in questo caso Pumice Stone e Antique line ( manca la foto dei colori!). QUI c'è il mio post su IG dove potete vedere come si realizza la maschera.
2) Per la parte innferiore della copertina ho utilizzato la nuova sutella 3D di Tim Holtz Sizzix , Quilted, veramente favolosa. In questo post di Cathie Cowles aka Daydreamsinpaper, troverete il suo tutorial per rendere simile alla pelle il vostro ritaglio embossato. Da lei ho preso spunto per realizzare il mio, al posto della Glossy ho utilizzato Distress Resist Spray.
3) Timbrate nella parte superiore già colorata della copertina, i fiori dal set di Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Floral Outline e colorateli con Distress Ink Pad.
4) Aggiungete i pois con lo stencil Polkadot ( indovinate di chi!) e il timbro alfabeto.
5) Coprite la spina del vostro Journal con un nastro di stoffa Idea-ology
6) Componete la copertina unendo le parti con due bordi tagliati con la fustella Decorative Trims e un nastro di spago.

"Technical" explanation in points that will be clearer to you by looking at the photos above.
1) For the top of the Journal cover: create a mask to use on top of your Heavystock cutout before coloring it with Distress spray stain, in this case, Pumice Stone and Antique line ( photo with colors is missing!). HERE is my post on IG where you can see how I created the mask.
2) For the lower part of the cover I used the new 3D folder di Tim Holtz Sizzix, Quilted, really fabulous. In this post by Cathie Cowles aka Daydreamsinpaper, you'll find her tutorial for making your embossed cutout look like skin. I took inspiration from her to make mine, instead of Glossy I used Distress Resist Spray.
3) Stamp the flowers from the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous stamp set, Floral Outline set on the top of the cover, and color them with the Distress Ink Pad.
4) add the polka dots with the Polkadot stencil (guess whose!) and the alphabet stamp.
5) Cover the spine of your Journal with Idea-ology fabric tape
6) Compose the cover by joining the two parts with two edges cut with the Decorative Trims die and a ribbon of string.
