Poiché è il primo lunedì del mese, presentiamo come sempre un marchio/azienda. Questa settimana tutto il Design Team ha usato alcuni favolosi prodotti di Dyan Reaveley. Non siete obbligati ad usarli per partecipare alla sfida ma se li avete ci piacerebbe vedere cosa inventate!
Questa settimana diamo il bentornato all'adorabile Cassie Lynch alias mk_knits nel Designer Spotlight. Se non avete mai visitato il suo profilo Instagram prima fatelo perchè Cassie è una vera artista, i suoi progetti sono sempre splendidi e di grande ispirazione!

As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from Dyan Reaveley. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.
This week we’re welcoming back the lovely Cassie Lynch aka mk_knits into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven’t visited her Instagram profile before then you are in for a real treat!
Paint it è sicuramente un tema magnifico con il quale ci si può sbizzarrire a preparare progetti di qualsiasi tipo! Io però amo le tag e vado avanti con quelle! Solitamente i colori di Dyan Reaveley vengono usati per Journal o progetti molto vivaci, con colori quasi mai neutrali. Io ho deciso di provare ad usare i Dylusions spray mischiandoli con i miei amati Distress Spray, sia Stain che Oxide e fare un esperimento che ha dato come risultato i tre sfondi che vedete nella foto sopra! Alla fine del post vi lascio una foto con tre sfondi creati sempre con i Dylusions ma molto vivaci per farvi vedere con quanti stili si può giocare con gli stessi prodotti! Li userò per altre sfide!
Il tutorial di tre tag richiede un tempo abbastanza lungo per essere preparato e purtroppo per me in questo momento è impossibile riuscirci a causa di alcune situazioni in famiglia che assorbono parecchio del tempo che ho a disposizione. Quindi ho pensati di farv una breve descrizione sui passaggi principali dei tre sfondi. I tre protagonsti delle tag provengono da tre dei miei set preferiti di Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous ( The Professor, The Inspector e Clear Stamps and Stencil Observations). Li ho timbrati tutti con Archival Ink mischiando Black Soot e Ground Espresso e li ho colorati tutti con I distress ink Pad usati come acquerello.
Il primo sfondo l'ho realizzato con lo stencil Brush Arch spruzzando gli spray e usandolo al contrario, appoggiando sopra la tag. Poi ho riposizionato lo stencil coprendo il disegno e ho riempito gli spazi vuoti con un altro spray e una volta asciutto con Distress Paste Translucent.
Per la seconda tag, quella col favoloso The Inspector, ho utilizzato colori più scuri( sempre tra quelli che vedete nella foto sopra), ho timbrato con Distress Oxide Lost Shadow i simboli delle carte, con Archival Ink Black Soot la cornice sottile e ho aggiunto uno stencil dal set Element Everyday Art usato con Distress Paste Crackle Opaque e sopra Embossing Glaze nel colore Lost Shadow.
Per l'ultimo sfondo ho usato colori più chiari e ho aggiunto il timbro alfabeto dal set The inspector. Anzichè usare come sempre l'inchiostro ho voluto provare a timbrarlo spruzzando Dylusions Ground Coffee e l'effetto mi è piaciuto,con contorni poco precisi, davvero bello, penso sia una tecnica che utilizzerò ancora. Agli angoli della tag il timbro con gli ingranaggi dal set Clear and Stencil Observations e uno stencil, Markings, di Tim Holtz dalla collezione del 2022, usato con Dabber e polvere Embossing Glaze Speckled Egg.

Paint It is definitely a great theme that you can have fun with to prepare all kinds of projects! I, however, love the tags and go with those! Usually, Dyan Reaveley's colors are used for Journal or very vibrant projects, with almost never neutral colors. I decided to try using Dylusions sprays by mixing them with my beloved Distress Sprays, both Stain and Oxide and do an experiment that resulted in the three backgrounds you see in the picture above! At the end of the post I leave you a photo with three backgrounds created again with Dylusions but very vibrant to show you how many styles you can create with the same products! I'll used them for next challenges!
The tutorial of three tags takes quite a long time to prepare, and unfortunately, it is impossible for me at this time to do so because of some situations in the family that take up a lot of the time I have available. So I thought I would give you a short description of the main steps of the three backgrounds. The three protagonists of my project come from three of my favorite sets of Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous ( The Professor, The Inspector and Clear Stamps and Stencil Observations). I stamped them all with Archival Ink mixing Black Soot and Ground Espresso and colored them all with I Distress Ink Pad used as watercolor.
I made the first background with the Brush Arch Stencil by spraying the colors and using it upside down, like it was a stamp. Once the tag dried, I repositioned the stencil covering the design and filled in the blank spaces with another spray and with Distress Texture Paste Translucent.
For the second tag, the one with the fabulous The Inspector, I used darker colors (again from the ones you see in the photo above), stamped playing card symbols with Distress Oxide Lost Shadow, the thin frame with Archival Ink Black Soot and added a stencil from the Element Everyday Art set used with Distress Paste Crackle Opaque and over Embossing Glaze in the Lost Shadow color.
For the last background, I used lighter colors and added the alphabet stamp from The inspector set. Rather than using ink as usual I wanted to try stamping it by spraying Dylusions Ground Coffee and I liked the effect, with blurred, imprecise contours, really nice, I think it is a technique I will use again. At the corners of the tag the gears stamp from the Clear and Stencil Observations set and a stencil, Markings, by Tim Holtz from the 2022 collection, used with Dabber and Embossing Glaze Speckled Egg powder.
