Thank you for joining us for the Paint It Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week we are challenging you to be: Inspired By Music
Io mi sono fatta trasportare indietro
nel tempo facendomi ispirare dalla musica dei miei anni giovanili. Ho
pensato a un gruppo, i Velvet Underground di Lou Reed, che hanno
particolarmente interagito con l'arte, in particolare con Andy Warhol.
Questo favoloso artista creò per loro una copertina celeberrima, quella
con la banana, per il loro album Velvet Underground & Nico. Così ho pensato di utilizzare un timbro sel set Bold Botanicals di Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous per realizzare una serie di ATCs motivazionali, super facili, super veloci e super colorate!
La realizzazione è veramente basica, facilissima. Timbrate con il colore che preferito, io ho usato gli Oxide che sono meno trasparenti degli ink pad tradizionali, lasciando posizionato il timbro e la vostra Atc, timbrate di nuovo con Versamark e cospargete di polvere Clear. scaldate e poi riempite gli spazi vuoti con un colore a contrasto con i blending tools tradizionali.
Semplice e veloce e l'effetto a me è piaciuto molto! Considerate che io ho scelto un solo timbro dei quattro che fanno parte del set, ma sono tutti adatti a questo tipo di tecnica.
Per completare ho aggiunto qualche frase dal pack Idea-ology Label Stickers Toughts e un cartoncino nero per incorniciare e far risaltare i colori.
I was transported back in time by being inspired by the music of my younger years. I thought of a group, Lou Reed's Velvet Underground, who particularly interacted with art, particularly Andy Warhol. This fabulous artist created a very famous cover for them, the one with the banana, for their album Velvet Underground & Nico. So I thought I would use a stamp from the Bold Botanicals set by Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous to make a set of motivational ATCs, super easy, super quick and super colorful!
The making is really basic, super easy. Stamp with your favorite color, I used Distress Oxides which are less transparent than traditional ink pads, leaving the stamp and your Atc positioned, stamp again with Versamark and sprinkle with Clear embossing powder. Heat and then fill in the blanks with a contrasting color with traditional blending tools.
Quick and easy and I really liked the effect! Consider that I chose only one stamp of the four that are part of the set, but they are all suitable for this type of technique.
To complete, I added some sentiments from the Idea-ology Label Stickers Toughts package and a black cardstock to frame and bring out the colors.

These turned out so cool. Love how you used Andy Warol for inspiration. His pop art really is amazing. Very nice :)
