Questo mese vorremmo vedere qualche tipo di finestra o elemento tunnellato nelle vostre creazioni. Pensate a libri svuotati, a più strati con aperture per vedere sotto, alette nascoste o finestre che una volta aperte rivelano un elemento segreto. Ricorda solo di creare uno dei nostri stili preferiti: vintage, shabby, mixed media, journaling, industrial, logoro o steampunk.

Deb proposed Window on You World as a theme! These are her indications for taking part in the challenge!
This month we would like to see some kind of window or tunneled element in your creations. Think hollowed-out books, multiple layers with openings to see what has gone before, hidden flaps or windows that when opened reveal a secret element. Just remember to create in one of our preferred styles of vintage, shabby, mixed media, art journaling, industrial, timeworn or steampunk
Io ho deciso di utilizzare la finestra di Tim Holtz, Window Frame ma ... come porta della mia casetta natalizia! A me piace parecchio utilizzare le cose per un uso deifferente a quello cui sono destinate per cui eccovi la mia porta/ finestra e di seguito il tutorial!
I decided to use the Tim Holtz Window Frame Die, but ... as a door to my Christmas house! I really like using things for a different use than what they're intended for. Here's my window/door and then the tutorial!
Come secondo passaggio stendete la Grit - Paste atrraverso lo stencil di Tim Holtz (in versione mini) del set 3, avendo cura di usare un cartoncino della stessa misura della finestra come maschera. Lasciate asciugarepoi spruzzate due dei colori neutrali che fanno parte della collezione di Distress oxides Spray: Pumice Stome e Hickory smoke. Asciugate con Heat tool e usate sopra ai mattoni Walnut stain ink pad a random.
The first step is to cut the house with a Tiny House die and a window that will serve as a mask. I used Mat-Board by Sizzix that is thick enough to keep the house on its feet without problems.
As a second step spread the Grit-Paste through the Tim Holtz stencil (in mini version), taking care to use a piece of cardstock of the same size as the window as a mask. Once the Grit-paste has driedSprinkle two of the neutral colors that are part of the collection of Distress oxides Spray: Pumice Stone and Hickory Smoke. Dry with Heat tools and use Walnut stain ink pad at random over on the stencil.
With a lot of patience highlight the corners of the bricks with Glossy and sprinkle with Distress Dry Glitter Rock Candy.
Preparate il tetto colorando il pezzo di cartoncino con Walnut Stain Ink Pad. Cospargete di Grit-Paste e poi subito dopo verstae a random i nuovii ( spettacolari!) Mica Flakes e Distress dry Glitter Clear Rock candy. Effetto neve ghiacciata favoloso!
Prepare the roof by coloring the piece of cardboard with Walnut Stain Ink Pad. Sprinkle with Grit-Paste and then immediately pour the new (spectacular!) Mica Flakes and Distress Dry Glitter Clear Rock Candy. Fabulous frozen snow effect!
Sui lati della casa ho timbrato con Archival due timbri che fanno parte del set Yuletide Gathering CMS390 di Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous. Con Stickled Xmas Red ho evidenziato le piccolissime bacche. Serve pazienza anche per questo...
Ho colorato un piccolo ritaglio di vellum con Distress oxide Antique Linen e l'ho incollato nel retro della casa, poi ho ritagliato dal pad Classic cradstock la finestra.
On the sides of the house, I stamped with Archival two designs that are part of the Yuletide Gathering CMS390 set by Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous. With Stickled Xmas Red I highlighted the tiny berries. You need patience for this too...
I colored a small piece of vellum with Antique Linen Distress Oxide and glued it to the back of the house, then I cut the window from Classic Craft Stock by Tim Holtz.
Preparate le decorazioni che più vi piacciono. Io ho utilizzato un piccolo albero di Natale di Idea-ology cosparso di Grit-Paste e Distress Dry Glitter Clear Rock Candy, una piccola ghirlanda colorata con i Distress Paint e qualche soggetto preso dai pack Idea- ology Ephemera.
Prepare the decorations that you like. I used a small Christmas tree from Idea-ology sprinkled with Grit-Paste and Distress Dry Glitter Clear Rock Candy, a small garland colored with Distress Paint and some Idea-Ology from Ephemera packs.
Come ultimo passaggio assemblate i pezzi. Io per fare stare ben fermo il tetto della casa uso anche due piccoli pezzetti di cartoncino sottile con biadesivo in modo da creare un appoggio per il tetto che risulterà più solido.
As the last step, assemble the pieces. To make the roof of the house stand firm, I use two small pieces of thin cardboard with double-sided tape to create a more solid support for the roof.
Se volete illuminare la casetta potete inserire sotto le nuovi luci Idea-ology.
If you want to light up the house you can insert inside the new Idea-ology lights.

What a wonderful Santa in front of his Christmas door standing on the tin box! Love the crystal snow you created on the roof and the textured bricks look so real Barbara! A lovely window creation for Deb's challenge! xx

I adore your tiny house, Barbara - the bricks look so realistic and the snow-encrusted roof is magical. The window works so well as patio doors, and the red frame is so festive with the snow and the wreath hanging over the top. I really love how it looks on top of the plaid tin too... a completely delightful piece of Christmas home decor.
