Thank you for joining us for the Stencil Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too. This week we are challenging you to use twine, ribbon etc and: Tie It Up
Oggi ho creato due tag dedicate a San Valentino. Ecco le fasi principali del mio processo creativo.
1) Per gli sfondi ho usato Heavystock, Splotches stencil e Love Notes stamp set entrambi di Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous, Ranger Ink Distress Ink Spray Stains e Ink Pad. Ho scelto Aged Mahogany, Lumberjack Plaid Ink Pads e qualche goccia di Antique Linen Spray Stain per lo sfondo rosso. Sopra ho stampato alcuni cuori del set Love Notes utilizzando Versamark, polvere per embossing Vintage Pearl e embossing glaze Aged Mahogany. Per l'altro sfondo ho utilizzato lo stencil al contrario, spruzzando i colori Walnut Stain e Scorched Timber tenendo lo stencil contro la Splat Box e poi posizionandolo sul cartoncino Heavystock.

2) Per la diapositiva ho usato la fustella Specimen e ho creato una texture invecchiata che è nata da un errore! Avevo intenzione di usare la TexturePaste Crackle Translucent, ma ho preso per sbaglio il barattolo del Collage Medium. Quando me ne sono accorta era troppo tardi! Allora ho asciugato con l'heat tool e ho visto che si creavano delle bollicine che mi piacevano. Ho completato l'asciugatura poi ho passato uno strato di Distress Ink Oxide Walnut Stain e la embossing Glaze Scorched Timber. Il risultato mi è piaciuto e così l'ho utilizzata. Per l'altra tag ho creato una mezza rosette con la fustella Vault Rosettes di cui fa parte anche il piccolo Faceted Heart. I colori sono gli setssi dello sfondo con i cuori perchè ne avevo preparato un ritaglio grande. Il cuore marrone della tag è tagliato con la fustella Wood Slice e i sentiment che ho usato per entrambe le tag vengono dal set Love Notes e timbrati con Versamark e polvere da embossing Vintage Pearl.
3) Per i nastri in alto ho usato ancora le mie scorte di Idea-ology Crinckle Ribbon, ma siccome non è più in produzione (ti prego Tim lo rivogliamo!), vi ho indicato nella lista dei materiali un nastro di May Arts con cui potete provare a sostituirlo. Per colorare enrambi i nastri ho utilizzato Distress Spray Stain nei colori Aged Mahogany e Lumberjack Plaid e Antique Linen. Per il foro della tag ho usato We R Makers Cool Metal Wide Eyelets. Protagoniste in entrambe le tag le mie adorate Paper Dolls!

Today I created two tags dedicated to Valentine's Day. Here are the main phases of my creative process.
1) For the backgrounds I used Heavystock, Splotches stencils and Love Notes stamp sets both from Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous, Ranger Ink Distress Ink Spray Stains and Ink Pads. I chose Aged Mahogany, Lumberjack Scotch Ink Pad and a few drops of Antique Linen Spray Stain for the red background. Above I stamped some hearts from the Love Notes set using Versamark, Vintage Pearl embossing powder and Aged Mahogany embossing polish. For the other background I used the stencil in reverse, spraying Walnut Stain and Scorched Timber by holding the stencil against the Splat Box and then placing it on the Heavystock cardstock.

2) For the slide I used the Specimen die and created an aged texture that was born from a mistake! I was going to use the Texture Paste Crackle Translucent, but I accidentally grabbed the jar of Collage Medium. When I realized it it was too late! Then I dried with the heat tool and saw that some bubbles were created that I liked. I completed the drying then I applied a layer of Distress Ink Oxide Walnut Stain and the embossing Glaze Scorched Timber. I liked the result so I used it. For the other tag, I created a half rosette with the Vault Rosettes die which also includes the small Faceted Heart. The colors are the same as the background with the hearts because I had prepared a large cutout. The brown heart of the tag is cut with the Wood Slice die and the sentiments I used for both tags are from the Love Notes set and stamped with Versamark and Vintage Pearl embossing powder.
3) For the ribbons above I still used my supplies of Idea-ology Crinkle Ribbon, but since it is no longer in production (please Tim we want it back!), I have indicated in the materials list, a May Arts ribbon with which you can try replacing it. To color the ribbons I used Distress Spray Stain in Aged Mahogany and Lumberjack Plaid and Antique Linen. For the tag holes I used We R Makers Cool Metal Wide Eyelets. The star of both tags are my beloved Paper Dolls!
