SIMON MONDAY CHALLENGE STITCH IT

Ciao a tutti e benvenuti a un'altra settimana su Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge
Questa settimana vi sfidiamo con questo tema STITCH IT. Potete divertire a cucire oppure utilizzare elementi che riportino al mondo del cucito!
Dato che è il primo lunedì del mese, presentiamo un marchio/azienda. Questa settimana stiamo usando alcuni favolosi prodotti di AALL & CREATE. Non siete obbligati a usarli per partecipare alla sfida, ma se li avete ci piacerebbe vederli usati.

Thank you for joining us for the Emboss It Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week we are challenging you to: STITCH IT
As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from AALL & CREATE. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.

Questa settimana ho creato una tag ancora in tema Halloween utilizzando per stare nel nostro tema lo stencil Lotza Plusez come fosse l'imitazione del punto croce che si usa nel ricamo.
Sotto in breve la spiegazione di come l'ho  realizzata.
 
 This week I created a tag still in the Halloween theme using the Lotza Plusez stencil because this design made me think of the cross-stitch that is used in embroidery, so it perfectly fit with our theme!.
Below is a short explanation of how I made it.



Manca la foto di come ho fatto lo sfondo con i Distress Stain ma vi indico i colori, il procedimento per colorare le tag ormai lo sapete, ma se volete dare una ripassatina, potete andare qui sul Blog del Maestro, cioè Tim Holtz e guardare questo video. Nel canale YoutTube di Tim ne troverete tantissimi altri con un sacco di consigli e idee.
I colori che ho usato sono Antique Linen, Walnut Stain, Vintage Photo e Pumice Stone in versione Stain.
Ho proseguito aggiungendo qualche tocco di Crackle Paste Opaque insieme alla Embossing Glaze Antique Linen.

I missed the picture of how I made the background with the Distress Stains but I will list the colors and the process for coloring the tags by now you know, but if you want to give a refresher, you can go here on the Blog of the Master, that is Tim Holtz and watch this video. In Tim's YoutTube channel you will find many others with lots of tips and ideas.
The colors I used are Antique Linen, Walnut Stain, Vintage Photo, and Pumice Stone in the Stain version.
I continued by adding a few touches of Crackle Paste Opaque along with the Embossing Glaze Antique Linen
 
 

Ho aggiunto anche lo splendido stencil di Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Thorned e qui vi spiego come ho fatto ad ottenere qulla pasta lucida che vedete nelle rose.
Nella foto sopra potete vedere nell'angolo in basso a destra due piccole ciotoline di plastica (ex contenitori di salsa di soia per il sushi che a casa mia è davvero molto amato). Il procedimento è questo prendete un cucchiaio di Texture Paste o Grit Paste Translucent (io ho provato in tutti e due i modi!) e mischiate alcune gocce di Mica Stain. Io ho usato i colori Burning Ember e Fortune Teller. Ovviamente l'intensità del colore che ottenete dipende dalla quantità di Mica stain che aggiungete alla pasta, cominciate con poche gocce perchè i colori sono molto vivaci e dipende da quello che volete ottenere.
Il risultato ottenuto mi è piaciuto con entrambe le Texture Paste, forse preferisco la Grit Paste che risulta sì lucida ma un pochino meno brillante, ma è solo una questione di gusti!
 
I added the beautiful Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Thorned stencil and here I explain how I managed to get the glossy paste you see in the roses.
In the photo above you can see in the lower right corner two small plastic bowls (former soy sauce containers for sushi which is very popular in my house). The procedure is this take a spoonful of Texture Paste or Grit Paste Translucent (I have tried both ways!) And mix a few drops of Mica Stain. I used Burning Ember and Fortune Teller colors. Obviously, the intensity of the color you get depends on the amount of Mica stain you add to the paste, start with a few drops because the colors are very bright and it depends on what you want to get.
 I liked the result obtained with both Texture Pastes, maybe I prefer the Grit Paste which is shiny but a little less brilliant, but it's just a matter of taste!


Sulla luna e sulle stelle ho utilizzato un pochino di Foundry Wax Statue solo per evidenziare le linee.

On the moon and stars I used a little bit of Foundry Wax Statue just to highlight the lines.
