BACK TO SCHOOL!

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge
We have a Kids Vacation Challenge CLICK HERE or on the pic to go to join in!

Thank you for joining us for the Vacation Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week we are challenging you to go:
BACK TO SCHOOL!

1) The wall of the station from which Harry leaves for Hogwarts. The 3D Brickwork die is perfect. I painted the tag first with some Distress Spray Stains (below the materials list) and once it dried, I ran it through the Big Shot with the Brickwork die. Then with some sandpaper (I actually use a large nail file), I distressed the surface somewhere and went over it with Walnut Stain Distress Ink Pad.
2) The sign of the Platform 9 and 3/4 allowed me to use the new absolutely must have Vintage Labels die. It's a fabulous die, it can be inked before cutting, and it's fantastic. The numbers come from a Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous set, Merchant CMS 331, which looks like it was made for this!
3) What other elements could have been on the tag to characterize Harry's journey to school? The suitcases for sure. We all remember his trolley with suitcases and Hedwig. The suitcases are made with Sizzix's Baggage Claim die and some scraps I had in my stock (you know I don't throw anything away!). The material is an old Substrate Sheet Pack Idea-ology, which I believe is out of production because I didn't even find it in Tim Holtz's product list on his Blog (Index). But obviously, I still have some!
4) I found Hedwig on an Idea-ology Tim Holtz Layers & Baseboard Frames Halloween pack (TH93986), I cut it out and placed it on the suitcase. The hat comes from a Halloween die, Frightful Things. To compose the word "Hogwarts", I used the Metallic Sticker Book pack, cutting the necessary letters one by one. I glued them to the clip on the top which I cut with the new Specimen die. I also found the magic wand in an Idea-Ology metallic embellishment pack, Treasures Adornments.
5) The broomstick obviously couldn't be missing and here it is, revive it with a little bit of Foundry Wax Gilded!
Finished! I hope you like it and the description of the steps is useful!
