Poiché è il primo lunedì del mese, come sempre presentiamo un marchio. Questa settimana l'intero Design Team utilizza i prodotti di Simon Says Stamp. Non siete obbligati ad usarli per partecipare alla sfida, ma se li avete ci piacerebbe vedere come li utilizzate.
Oggi settimana diamo il bentornato a Simona Rebecchi aka Ginny and the Sheep come Designer Spotlight del mese di Maggio. Se ancora non la conoscete, visitate il suo blog, vi aspetta una vera sorpresa, il uo stile è davvero unico!
Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the Quote Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too. This week we are challenging you to make something FEMININE.
As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some of our very own Simon Says Stamp Products. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used. This week we are welcoming back the lovely Simona Rebecchi aka Ginny and the Sheep into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven’t visited her blog before then you are in for a real treat!
I prodotti di Simon Says Stamp sono bellissimi e solitamente vengono utilizzati dalla maggior parte delle persone per realizzare progetti in stili decisamente diversi dal mio. Oggi ho voluto provare ad adattarli al mio stile, fatemi sapere se l'esperimento è riuscito! Ho realizzato due tags con il set Spring Bouquets dell'ultima collezione Born to Sparkle.
Simon Says Stamp products are really fabulous and are usually used by most people to make projects in very different styles from mine. Today I wanted to try to adapt them to my style, let me know if the experiment is successful! I made two tags with the Spring Bouquets set from the latest collection, Born to Sparkle.
Per la prima tag ho realizzato lo sfondo con una fustella 3D di Tim Holtz, Brickwork, insieme ad un cartoncino argento del pack Metallic Kraft Stock di Ideaology e l'ho colorato con alcuni Alcohol inks. Il fiore del set di Simon è colorato con Distress Ink pads, chiedo perdono a chi sa colorare, io sono totalmente incapace (sto considerando l'idea di fare qualche corso on line, ne avrei davvero bisogno!) Il risultato è abbastanza soddisfacente solo perchè sia il timbro che i colori sono veramente bellissimi!

For the first tag, I made the background with Brickwork 3D Texture Fades Embossing by Tim Holtz, together with a silver cardstock from the Metallic Kraft Stock pack by Ideology, and colored it with some Alcohol inks. The flower of Simon's set is colored with Distress Ink pads, I ask forgiveness from those who know how to color, I am totally incapable (I am considering the idea of doing some courses online, I really need!) The result is quite satisfying exclusively because both the stamp and the colors are really beautiful!

Per la seconda tag, ho azzardato ancora di più! Ho timbrato il fiore con Versamark e polvere clear per creare l'effetto resist, poi ho spruzzato vari Distress Stain. Ho aggiunto uno stencil di Tim Holtz e sia qui che nella precedente tag, le mie amate paper Dolls.
Sicuramente l'utilizzo di questo set di Simon Says Stamp è decisamente poco tradizionale, ma è la dimostrazione che anche le persone che non hanno uno stile "pulito" e anche chi come non è bravo a colorare, può utilizzare con soddisfazione questi timbri!
For the second tag, I really dared! I stamped the flower with Versamark and clear embossing powder to create the resist effect, then sprayed various Distress Stain colors. I added a Tim Holtz stencil and both here and in the previous tag, my beloved paper dolls.
Surely the use of this Simon Says Stamp set is definitely not traditional, but it is the demonstration that even people who do not have a "clean" style and even those like me who are not good at coloring, can have fun with these kinds of stamps!

Great tags, Barbara, and how clever of you to use these stamps in your own style. I especially love how you stamped/embossed in clear to resist those beautiful inks! Great bricks! Never thought to use AI's!
