A VINTAGE JOURNEY TAG FRIDAY JULY

Ciao a tutti!

Hello everyone! The month of July is about to end and here we are with the last appointment on A Vintage Journey Challenge Blog, that is Tag Friday! On the Blog you will find a lot of inspirations by our Creative Guides, many styles, many wonderful projects, we are waiting for you!

Even today I show you two tags with Alcohol inks-based background ... I promise that for the next project I will change the type of background!
Today I tried two techniques that I like very much and that Tim Holtz explained wonderfully HERE and HERE!

L'effetto a mio parere è bellissimo.

The first technique is achieved by preparing your base with the Alcohol inks you prefer and then choosing a stencil, positioning it so that it is truly adherent to the tag, then spraying the Distress Resist. Remove the stencil and allow the Distress Resist to dry completely. At this point, using the Splat box, make the tag stand up and spray the Blending solution with the Mini minster. Magic ... the parts covered by Distress Resist remain beautifully colored while the rest of the tag slowly loses color. The effect in my opinion is fabulous!

Ecco i dettagli

The second technique is practically the opposite of the first. Prepare your base with alcohol inks, choose your stencil and use and a mini blending applicator soaked in Alcohol Lift ink, the one in drops. Immediately the alcohol colors will go away highlighting the stencil design! This effect is also fantastic!
Both techniques are easy but I suggest you watch Tim's two videos because he can teach very useful tricks as well as explain the techniques beautifully!
Here are the details
