Oggi Simon Monday Challenge puntualmente vi propone una stimolante sfida che spero voi raccoglierete: Usare un solo colore, o meglio.... una palette di colori della stessa tonalità per creare il vostro prpgetto! per me è sempre molto difficile, sono curiosissima di vedere le vostre interpretazioni!

Thank you for joining us for the ‘Stamp it’ Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week we are challenging you to use one colour on your project + skin tones if necessary, Monochrome.

Come vi avevo già detto non ho certo finito i miei progetti per Halloween, ho troppe cose da provare! Oggi ho realizzato un pannello partendo da una tela canvas e ho scelto una palette scura nei toni del grigio, marrone, nero... giusta per creare l'atmosfera di Halloween!
Breve step by step.
Oggi sarò schematica e dividerò in punti i passaggi:
1) stendere il gesso bianco in modo irregolare sulla tela.
2) scegliere uno stencil da utilizzare , io ho optato per un nuovo stencil di Tim, Decayed.
3) prendere una tag di misura 8 (ho utilizzato lo stencil piccolo) e stendere la Grit Paste.
4) utilizzate una tecnica che vi avevo già mostrato , sollevate lo stencil e capovolgetelo, in modo che la grit paste resti attaccata al design. poi appoggiatelo nel punto che preferite sulla tela in modo da utilizzarlo come fosse un timbro.
As I told you before, I certainly didn't finish my Halloween projects, I have too many things to try! Today I made a panel starting from canvas and I chose a dark palette in shades of gray, brown, black ... just to create the atmosphere of Halloween!
Short step by step.
Today I will be schematic and I will divide the steps into points:
1) spread the white gesso randomly on the canvas.
2) choose a stencil to use, I opted for a new stencil by Tim, Decayed.
3) take a size 8 tag (I used the small stencil) and spread the Grit Paste.
4) use a technique that I had already shown you, lift the stencil and turn it upside down, so that the grit paste remains attached to the design. Then place it in the spot you prefer on the canvas so as to use it as a stamp.
In effetti manca la foto in cui utilizzo la Texture paste opaque Crackle... mi scuso! Voi utilizzate lo stesso stencil di prima ma in modo tradizionale poi lasciate asciugare all'aria.
Nelle due foto verticali a sinistra potete vedere come sono le due textures una volta asciugate.
5) Stendete un velo di Antique Linen Distress paint e asciugate
6) Colorate il vostro sfondo, io ho scelto Paper Artsy Infusions Black Knight. Tenendo la tela in verticale spruzzate acqua a partire dall'alto e poi utlizzate qualche granello di Infusions. Prudenza nella quantità perchà Black Knight è un colore scuro e se volete una tonalità più trasparente dovete utilizzarne davvero poco. Se ne cospargete troppo potete provare a spruzzare altra acqua. Asciugate subito con Heat tool. Nell'ultima foto il risultato di questo passaggio.
Un piccolo trucco che uso spesso quando uso la Crackle paste è di cospargere la texture una volta che avete finito di lavorarla con un medium che blocchi le piccole crepe, in modo che non si stacchino i pezzetti. In questo caso ho usato Vintage Distress Medium Vintage.

You have to use the same stencil as before but in a traditional way then let it air dry.
In the two vertical photos on the left, you can see what the two textures look like once they have dried.
5) Spread a little bit of Antique Linen Distress paint and dry
6) Paint your background. I chose Paper Artsy Infusions Black Knight. Holding the canvas vertically, spray water from the top and then use a few grains of Infusions. Be careful with the quantity because Black Knight is a dark color and if you want a more transparent shade you have to use very little. If you use too much of Infusions, you can try spraying more water. Dry immediately with the Heat tool. In the last photo the result of this passage.
A little trick that I often use with Crackle paste is to sprinkle the texture, once you have finished working it, with a Medium that blocks small cracks, so that the pieces are not peeled off. In this case I used Vintage Distress Medium Vintage
Per la parte centrale ho scelto una cornice del nuovo pack di Halloween con varie tipologie di cornici e abbellimenti ( materiali in fondo al post)
7) Cospargete la Grit paste con le dita in modo abbastanza casulae sulla cornice e lasciate asciugare all'aria.
8) una volta perfettamente asciutta utilizzate i Distress Oxide Sprays. i Miei colori in questo caso sono il nuovissimo e favoloso Black Soot, Walnut stain e Pumice stone.
9) Sotto alla cornice ho messo un cartoncino nero di Simon Says Stamp embossato con la fustella 3D di Tim, Crackle. Ho evidenziato le parti in rilievo con la cera di Prima Marketing Bronze Age.
For the central point, I chose a frame from the new Halloween pack with various types of frames and embellishments (materials at the bottom of the post)
7) Sprinkle the Grit paste randomly with your fingers on the frame and let it dry in the air.
8) Once perfectly dry, use the Distress Oxide Sprays. My colors, in this case, are the new and fabulous Black Soot, Walnut stain and Pumice stone.
9) Under the frame, I put a black cardstock by Simon Says Stamp and I embossed it with Tim's 3D die, Crackle. I highlighted the raised parts with Prima Marketing Bronze Age wax.
Durante la settimana mi sono divertita a giocare con i nuovi Ranger Distress oxides Spray e ho preparato alcuni sfondi con i colori nuovi, Black Soot, Frayed Burlap mischiati ai miei preferiti Walnut stain e Antique linen e sotto potete vedere i risultati. Con gli sfondi ai due lati ho tagliato il teschio che fa da punto focale del lavoro.
Preparazione degli abbellimenti
10) ho tagliato i pipistrelli con il cartoncino nero di Simon.
11) li ho cosparsi con Grit Paste e una volta asciutti ho utilizzato gli stessi sprays di prima per colorarli. Mi piace moltissimo utilizzare gli Oxides sul nero, l'effetto nebbia è fantastico!
12) Per il numero 31 ho scelto il set di Tim Holtz Ideaology Stencil Chips che è di un colore dorato vivace. Per farlo diventare più scuro ho usato Distress Crayons Black soot e Walnut stain e sopra Distress medium Vintage.
13) Ultimo particolare la garza che ho messo ai lati tra la cornice e la tela, Idea-ology Mummy cloth. L'ho colorata con gli stessi spray e asciugata con Heat Tool.
L'ultimo passaggio è assemblare!
During the week I had fun playing with the new Ranger Distress oxides Sprays and I prepared some wallpapers with new colors, Black Soot, Frayed Burlap mixed with my favorite Walnut stain and Antique linen and below you can see the results. With the backgrounds on both sides, I cut the skull that is the focal point of the work.
Preparation of embellishments
10) I cut Bat Crazy with Simon's black cardstock.
11) I sprinkled them with Grit Paste and once dry I used the same sprays as before to color them. I really like using Oxides on black, the fog effect is fantastic!
12) For the number 31, I chose the Tim Holtz Ideaology Stencil Chips set which is a bright golden color. To make it darker I used Distress Crayons Black soot and Walnut stain and above Distress medium Vintage.
13) Last detail... the gauze that I put on the sides between the frame and the canvas is Idea-ology Mummy cloth. I colored it with the same sprays and dried with the Heat Tool.
The last step is to assemble!

Amazing distressed textures and such a cool spooky look. Love the wire wrapped bones and the fabric fringes, and the altered word plaque looks just fabulous.
