Per chi non lo sapesse ( dubito che ci sia qualcuno che non lo sa...) le ATCs sono piccoli capolavori creati con qualsiasi tecnica voi vogliate che hanno come unica regola quella della dimensione. Devono misurare sempre 6,4 cm per 8,9 cm. Ora via libera alla vostra fantasia!

This week we would like you to make an Artist Trading Card
Definition: Artist trading cards (ATCs) is a conceptual art project initiated by the Swiss artist M. Vänçi Stirnemann in 1997. He called it a Collaborative Cultural Performance. Artist trading cards are 2 1⁄2 by 3 1⁄2 inches (64 mm × 89 mm) in size, the same format as modern trading cards (hockey cards or baseball cards). They are self-made unique works or small series, signed and dated on the reverse by the artist/producer, exchanged and collected by the people who participate in the collaborative performance.

Oramai sono entrata nel mood di Halloween e ho così tante cose nuove da provare che non mi sono lasciata sfuggire quest'occasione! Le due fustelle di Tim Holtz Frightful things e Regions beyond sono perfette per questa dimensione. per i colori... mi sono un pochino lasciata andare... e ho seguito la mia parte più colorata... ci sarà tempo anche per progetti più cupi e d'atmosfera, oggi che siamo ancora in piena estate ho pensato di usare colori molto accesi per queste ATCs.
By now I entered the Halloween mood, and I have so many new things to try that I couldn't miss this opportunity! The two dies by Tim Holtz Frightful things and Regions beyond are perfect for this dimension. About colors ... I followed my more colorful side ... there will be time for projects with a darker mood, now that we're still in the middle of summer I used shades that perfectly match with the season for these ATCs.
La prima è sicuramente la mia favorita! Sfondo del mio colore preferito e siccome ho terminato proprio tre giorni fa di vedere la serie The Umbrella Academy, la piccola maschera è assolutamente favolosa e già pensavo a come usare la fustella mentra guardavo gli episodi! Ma si sa che sono un pochino strana!
The first is definitely my favorite! Background of my beloved Peacock feather color and since I finished the Umbrella Academy series just three days ago, the little mask is absolutely fabulous and I was already thinking about how to use the die while watching the episodes! You know I'm a little bit weird!
Il concetto è lo stesso per ognuna di loro: sfondo con Distress oxide di variè tonalità dello stesso colore, uno stencil o un timbro o tutt e due insieme, un sentiment e un soggetto a tema Halloween. Filo conduttore le stelline nere ritagliate con la fustella Swirling stars. in effetti non c'è molto da spiegare, sono semplici e veloci da fare soprattutto per pèrogetti dell'ultimo minuto!
The concept is the same for each of them: background with Distress oxide of various shades of the same color, a stencil or a stamp or both at once, a sentiment and a subject with a Halloween theme. The common detail is the little black stars cut with the Swirling stars die. In fact, there is not much to explain, they are simple and quick to do especially for last minute projects!

I just love the contrasting colours on these - and they work beautifully as a set as the colours switch and change. I agree (of course!) about the Peacock Feathers background - it's delicious - and I love the texture on the witch's skirt and that adorable little mask. Brilliant spookiness that is also great fun.
