STEAMPUNK BUTTERFLY TAG

Ciao a tutti!

Hello everyone! I'm just in time with the monthly tag created for the Facebook Group Tim Holtz Addicts, tomorrow is the last day of February !!
This month the technique to be used is quite old (2012) but always fabulous and you can find it HERE, on Tim's blog!!
Very short explanation: you have to use acrylics to create the resist effect ... Tim explains it much better than me !!
This is my tag,  this new die is spectacular!

I used for my background Picket fence Distress paint on the stamp from Dapper set, the gear cut in half that I stamped at the 4 corners and in the center creating a whole gear. Once dried I colored my tag with Vintage Photo and Antique linen Distress oxide, in order to highlight the resist effect required by this month's technique. I added a few splashes of Oxide spray Spiced marmalade and a text from the Entomology set stamped with Paper Artsy Cool Paint Bora Bora.

The butterfly is cut with the new Tattered Butterfly die in both sizes. To create the "rust" effect and the "patina" effect I used several things: Distress Paint Ground expressed as a base, then with the fingers in randomly order Finnabair Mint's paste, the same acrylic Bora bora, Distress paint Cracked pistachio and a few splashes of Distress oxide Spray Spiced Marmalade.
Same treatment for the gears at the top and under the words Objet trouvé.

Post velocissimo come sempre!!!!
Super fast post, thanks for stopping by, see you soon here!

This tag is my entry for Sandee & amelie's Steampunk challenges Anything goes  Steampunk /Industrial February
