This week we are challenging you to make something that is: NOT A CARD
As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from Tim Holtz. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.
This week we’re welcoming the lovely Kerry aka Kerry’s Papercraft into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven’t visited her blog before then you are in for a real treat!

Io oggi ho scelto di celebrare Giugno in versione arcobaleno dal momento che è il Mese del Pride, e credo che ci sia un gran bisogno di salvaguardare quei diritti (non molti per la verità, dovrebbero essere molti di più!) già acquisiti (non molti per la verità, dovrebbero essere molti di più!). Ho realizzato un trio di tag a tema arcobaleno utilizzando diverse fustelle, timbri e stencil di Sizzix e Stampers Anonymous per Tim Holtz. In fondo trovate la lista di tutti i materiali che ho usato e di seguito una brevissima spiegazione su come le ho realizzate.
Per tutte le parti che vedete colorate ho usato Distress Heavystock con Blending Tool e Mini Ink Pad. Le tag nere sono tagliate da un cartoncino di Simon Says Stamp, per le parti disegnate a mano intorno allo stencil a cerchi e per le finte cuciture ho usato un pennarello bianco Gelly Roll Classic Medium di Sakura. Per completare le tag ho usato anche il timbro di Stampers Anonymous a cerchi concentrici dal set Inquisitive e lo stencil Halftone in versione mini per la tag centrale. Nella tag a sinistra ho scelto lo stencil a piccoli cerchi dal set Element Everyday Art insieme alla Distress Translucent Texture Paste e un sentiment dal set Tiny Text. In quella a destra ho realizzato uno sfondo arcobaleno e ho sovrapposto una tag nera tagliata con la fustella Falling Hearts. Sono facili da fare e il contrasto del nero più arcobaleno le rende particolamente vivaci. Spero vi siano piaciute!
Today I chose to celebrate June in a rainbow version since it is Pride Month, and I think there is a need to preserve those rights already acquired (not many actually, there should be many more!). I made a trio of rainbow-themed tags using various dies, stamps, and stencils from Sizzix and Stampers Anonymous for Tim Holtz. At the bottom, you will find a list of all the materials I used, and below is a very quick explanation of how I made them.
For all the parts you see in color, I used Distress Heavystock with Blending Tools and Mini Ink Pads. The black tags are cut from cardstock by Simon Says Stamp, for the hand-drawn parts around the circle stencil and for the faux stitching, I used a white Gelly Roll Classic Medium marker by Sakura. To complete the tags I also used Stampers Anonymous' concentric circles stamp from the Inquisitive set and Halftone's mini version stencil for the center tag. In the tag on the left I chose the small circle stencil from the Element Everyday Art set along with Distress Translucent Texture Paste and a sentiment from the Tiny Text set. In the one on the right, I made a rainbow background and overlaid a black tag cut with the Falling Hearts Thinlits Dies. They are easy to make and the contrast of black plus rainbow makes them especially vibrant. I hope you enjoyed them!
