Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Texture Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week we are challenging you to make: NOT A CARD.
Siccome era da un po' di tempo che seguivo solo il mio istinto creativo che mi porta verso le tag #8 misura tradizionale, ho deciso che oggi avrei cambiato almeno dimensione! Ho scelto di realizzare una Etcetera misura Mini, confesso che quelle di misura superiore non mi riescono facili, mentre la misura mini che è comunque più grande della misura tradizionale è perfetta!
Sopra ci sono i pssaggi principali della realizzazione che vi riassumo anche in punti qui sotto.
1- tagliate la forma della tag Mini su un cartoncino Heavystock e coloratela con i Distress Stain ( io in questo caso ho scelto gli Ink Pad e li ho usati inchiostrando il tappetino, bagnando con acqua e appoggiando e muovendo il colore sulla tag.
2- Passate la tag nella Big Shot insieme alla fustella 3 D Doily di Tim Holtz Sizzix. Questa fustella è veramente pazzesca, dovreste vedere l'effetto dal vivo, sembra reale! Da sola praticamente fa metà del progetto, è davvero spettacolare. Una volta aggiunta la texture con la fustella inchiostrate come volete per mettere in evidenza i rilievi. Io Ho usato Pumice Stone insieme a un filo di Foundry Wax Statue ( altro prodotto davvero imperdibile!
3- Preparate la Doll che avete scelto. Per la colorazione cliccate QUI e troverete un post di Paula Cheney OneLuckyDay che spiega meravigliosamente come si fa. Io che sono sempre stata abbastanza incapace nel colorare le Dolls ci sono riuscita con un risultato che finalmente mi soddisfa.
Ho arricchito il cappello della mia Doll con un naastro e dei fiori veri. Ho utilizzato un pezzetto di Crinkle Ribbon (ne ho ancora un paio di confezioni che conservo come una reliquia visto che non è più in produzione), l'ho colorato con lo Spray Stain Prize Ribbon e ho aggiuto qualche fiore colorato con Scattered Straw. Ammetto che è la parte che amo di più della tag proprio perchè è la prima volta che mi riesce di colorare decentemente una Doll.
4- Ho scelto tra le miriadi di Ehpemera pack Idea-ology che possiedo i pezzi che mi piacevano di più e ho realizzato una specie di cornice. I fiori in origine erano bianchi e io li ho colorati con Prize Ribbon Mini Ink Pad.
5 La tag è dedicata a mia figlia, per questo ho scelto la Flashcard con la parola YOU e la frase presa dal Pack Quote Flair di Idea-ology. Piccolo trucco per chi come me non ama troppo gli abbellimenti lucidi: stendete un velo super sottile di Collage Medium e il gioco è fatto!
6- Ho completato la tag aggoiungendo un pochino di Crackle paste Opaque sui boridi e un po' di Crackle Paste translucent sulla Flash card. Poi per ultimo ho ricoperto i bordi della tag con un nastro adesivo del pacchetto Idea Ology Journey Design Tape.
Above there are the main steps of the realization that I summarize to you in the points below.
1- Cut the Mini tag's shape on Heavystock cardstock and color it with the Distress colors (in this case, I chose the Ink Pads and used them by inking the mat, wetting it with water, and placing moving the color on the tag).
2- Pass the tag into the Big Shot using the Tim Holtz Sizzix 3 D Doily die. This die is really crazy, you should see the effect live, it looks real! By itself it practically does half of the project, it is truly spectacular. Once the texture has been added with the die, ink as you wish to highlight the reliefs. I used Pumice Stone together with a thread of Foundry Wax Statue (another really unmissable product!)
3- Prepare the Doll you have chosen. For the coloring click HERE and you will find a post by Paula Cheney OneLuckyDay who wonderfully explains how to do it. I, who have always been quite incapable of coloring the Dolls, have succeeded with the result that finally satisfies me.
I enriched the Doll's hat with a ribbon and flowers. I used a small piece of Crinkle Ribbon (I still have a couple of packs that I keep as a relic as it is no longer in production), colored it with Spray Stain Prize Ribbon, and added some flowers painted with Scattered Straw. I admit that it is the part I love most of the tag precisely because it is the first time that I can paint a Doll decently.
4- I chose among the myriads of Ephemera pack Idea-ology that I have, the pieces that I liked the most, and I created a kind of frame. The flowers were originally white and I colored them with Prize Ribbon Mini Ink Pad.
5 The tag is dedicated to my daughter, so I chose the Flashcard with the word YOU and the phrase from Idea-ology Quote Flair Pack. A little trick for those like me who don't love shiny embellishments too much: spread a super-thin veil of Collage Medium and that's it!
6- I completed the tag by adding a little Crackle Paste Opaque on the edges and a little Crackle Paste Translucent on the Flashcard. Then lastly I covered the edges of the tag with adhesive tape from the Idea-Ology Journey Design Tape package.
