Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge
Secondo e terzo passaggio. Ho tagliato i pezzi per le finestre, per la porta, per i camini, per comporre il tetto ( e anche per provare la fustella, per questo motivo ne vedete alcuni che non ho utilizzato in seguito) su cardstock nero di Simon says Stamp e tutti i pezzi delle struttura del maniero.

This week we are challenging you to make something spooky: Spooky/Halloween
Piccola confessione: quando ho visto la fustella di Tim Holtz con il Village completo di ogni accessorio ho pensato che la volevo immediatamente! Quando l'ho ricevuta ho avuto un attimo di smarrimento: i pezzi sono 87 e molti sono davvero piccoli. Come ordinarli? Ringrazio ancora Zoe Hillman e Paula Cheney per i loro suggerimenti su come dividere e conservare i pezzi di questa fustella! Se cliccate sopra i loro nomi troverete i post relativi! Cominciamo! Sono riuscita a fare qualche foto del procedimento creativo e cercherò di spiegarvelo il più facilmente possibile dividendolo in punti
Confession: when I saw Tim Holtz's die with the Village complete with every accessory I thought I wanted it immediately! When I received it I had a moment of bewilderment: the pieces are 87 and many are really small. How is the better way to store them? Thanks to Zoe Hillman and Paula Cheney for their tips on how to divide and store the pieces of this die! If you click on their names you will find the related posts! These tips are really great especially for someone who is messy like me!
Let's start! I managed to take some pictures of the creative process and I will try to explain it to you as easily as possible by dividing it into steps
Il primo passaggio è quello du realizzare lo sfondo che servirà per le mura del castello. Ho preso un ritaglio abbastanza grande di Heavustock e ho colorato con Distress Spray stain ( I colori li potete veedere nella foto e leggeri in fondo al post nella lista dei materiali)
The first step is to create the background that will be used for the Manor walls. I took a fairly large cutout of Heavystock and colored it with Distress Spray stain (the colors I used can be seen in the photo and read at the bottom of the post in the material list)
Ho incollato le finestre, evidenziato i bordi e incollato nel retro delle strutture in corrispondenza delle aperture delle finestre e delle porte, un pezzetto di Vellum con ragnatela da un pack Idea-ology.
Second and third steps. I cut the pieces for the windows, for the door, for the chimneys, to compose the roof from a black Simon Says Stamp cardstock and all the pieces of the structure from the Heavystock.
I glued the windows, highlighted the edges, glued to the back of the structures (at the window and door openings), a piece of Vellum with cobweb from an Idea-ology pack.
Quarto e quinto passaggio: preparazione del tetto. Incollate sulla base della struttura tutte le strisce del tetto e una volta completato, colorate con Distress Crayons metallico. Io ho scelto il classico Tarnished Brass. Nello stesso modo preparate tutti i tetti della struttura. Nel tetto più alto ho deciso di utilizzare un pezzetto di Vellum e timbrare un piccolo teschio dal set Rest In Peace di Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous in modo che le luci che inserirò dopo possano essere viste anche dall'alto.
Fourth and fifth steps: preparation of the roof. Glue on the base of the structure all the strips and once completed, colored with metallic Distress Crayons. I chose the classic Tarnished Brass. In the same way, prepare all the roofs of the structure. On the top roof, I decided to use a piece of Vellum and stamp a small skull from Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous's Rest In Peace set so that the lights I will insert later can also be seen from above.
Sixth step. As a base on which to place my Manor, I used a wooden spool that I had among my materials. I colored some green synthetic moss (a hideous shade of green but it was the only one I had!) With Distress Oxide Spray Black Soot, Walnut Stain, Ground Espresso. I apologize because the photo of a passage relating to the spool is missing, I will describe it to you, I hope it is equally clear. In the central part of the spool, the one between the two circles to understand, I glued a couple of gates cut from a Sizzix Tim Holtz die. Easy and fast!
Io per far aderire meglio la struttura al rocchetto ricoperto di muschio ho usato un piccolo trucco: ho ritagliato piccole strisce di cartone, le ho piegato e le ho incollate all'interno delle pareti. In questo modo avrete una piccola base che rende più stabile la vostra struttura una volta appoggiata e incollata sul muschio.
Prima di assemblare la parte centrale del castello con il tetto, ho fatto una specie di foro per far passare le luci in modo che illuminassero anche la parte della torre.
Seventh step: assemble all the pieces and place the lights.
To make the structure adhere better to the spool covered with moss, I used a little trick: I cut out small strips of cardboard, folded them, and glued them inside the walls. In this way, you will have a small base that makes your structure more stable once it is placed and glued on the moss.
Before assembling the central part of the castle with the roof, I made a kind of hole for the lights to pass so that they also illuminate the top of the tower.

Last step: I added some Grit Paste Crypt somewhere and prepared the Mummy Cloth with which to finish the project.

Spooky goodness at its best...love the Manor House on the vinate spool...What size (width across the top) is the spool that you used, please....love it!!!
