Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the Happy Holidays Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too. This week we are challenging you to make something with calories: Food and/or Drink.
Questa settimana mi sono lasciata ispirare dai tipici dolcetti di natale: biscotti, candy cane e lollipop. Non è stato così facile perchè l'argomento era piuttosto inusuale. La prima cosa che faccio sempre è lo sfondo e ho utilizzato uno stencil shifter di Tim Holtz nella versione mini, Ho usato lo stencil al contrario, cioeè ho spruzzato Distress oxide fired Brick e Barn door sullo stencil e sopra ho appggiato il taglio di Heavystock quadrato che avevo preparato prima. Ogni tanto mi piace usare gli stencil in questo modo e non in quello tradizionale. Questa settimana mi sono fatta un regalo: la taglierina Deckle Torn Edge Trimmer di Tim Holtz e con questa ho tagliato i bordi del mio sfondo quadrato! La adoro!
Lo Snarky Cats con la tazza in mano (Stamptember exclusive 2020. Questo set è sold out però potete utilizzare gli altri Snarky catd di Tim Holtz soprattutto quelli natalizi che vi metto nella lista dei materiali in sostituzione di questo set!) era perfetto però non sapevo come completare la card. Sono andata a guardare tutte le fustelle e ne ho trovata una abbastanza datata e non più in produzione ( Sizzix 661608 Fustella Bigz Gingerbread Village di Tim Holtz) che faceva parte della serie delle fustelle di Tim per realizzare le casette e che avevo già usato
QUI . In questa fustella ci sono tutti "gli accessori" per la casetta del Gingerbread e io ho utilizzato quello che c'era di commestibile! Per sostituire questa fustella ve ne indico due di Tim Holtz nella lista dei materiali che contengono, caramelle, dolcetti e candy cane e che potreste usare in sostituzione di questa ormai introvabile. Ho ricevuto da pochi giorni il nuovo accessorio Sizzix Shaker Domes e la vogia di provarlo in una card non tradizionale ma nel mio stile "distress" ha prevalso! Così ho rinchiuso il mio gatto e i suoi dolcetti! Come sentiment ho usato una frase dallo stesso set Stamptember exclusive. Spero che vi piaccia, sotto i dettagli.
This week I was inspired by the typical Christmas sweets: cookies, candy cane and lollipops. It wasn't that easy because the topic was quite unusual. The first thing I always do is the background and I used a Tim Holtz stencil shifter in the mini version. I used the stencil in reverse, that is I sprayed Distress Oxides, Fired Brick and Barn Door, on the stencil and on top I made the square Heavystock cut that I had prepared earlier. Sometimes I like to use stencils in this way and not in the traditional way. This week I made myself a gift: Tim Holtz's new Deckle Torn Edge Trimmer and with this, I cut the edges of my square background! I love it!
The Snarky Cats with the cup in hand (Stamptember exclusive 2020. This set is sold out but you can use the other Snarky Cats by Tim Holtz especially the Christmas ones that I put in the list of materials to replace this set!) was perfect but I didn't know how to complete the card. I went to look at all my dies and I found one that was quite dated and no longer in production (Sizzix 661608 Bigz Gingerbread Village Die by Tim Holtz) that was part of Tim's series of dies to make the houses and that I had already used
HERE. In this die, there are all the "accessories" for the Gingerbread house and I used what was edible! To replace this die, I indicate two Thinlits dies by Tim Holtz in the list of materials that contain, sweets and candy cane and that you could use in place of this now unobtainable. A few days ago I received the new Sizzix Shaker Domes accessory and the desire to try it in a non-traditional card but in my "distress" style prevailed! So I locked up my cat and her treats! As a sentiment, I used a phrase from the Stamptember exclusive set itself. Hope you like it, below the details.
