Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge

Sapete che quasi fino ad Halloween andrò avanti con questo genere di progetti anche se sto già cominciando ad avere voglia di Natale... e anche oggi ho lavorato parecchio con il nuovo colore Crackling Campfire... sono solo un pochino ossessionata!
Ho preparato una tag con il set Specimen di Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous che è un set pazzesco e utilizzabile in ogni momento dell'anno non solo ad Halloween!
You know that almost until Halloween I will go on with this kind of project... even though I'm starting to wish for Christmas! Strange thing... today I worked a lot with the new Crackling Campfire color ... I'm just a little obsessed!
I made a tag with Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous's Specimen stamps set which is an incredible set can be used at any time of the year not just for Halloween!
Questi sono i quattro passaggi più importanti per realizzare la tag
1) preparazione della base con Heavystock e Distress spray stain
2) realizzazione dello sfondo con il set Specimen e inchiostro Archival Black soot.
3) creazione del punto focale della tag. Ho scelto l'insetto che mi piace di più sia per dimensioni sia perchè mi sembrava il più adatto ad essere incorniciato. Con l'aiuto della platform ho timbrato prima la parte centrale inchiostrando con attenzione con Crackling Campfire Oxide pad e poi il resto dell'insetto con Archival Black soot, passando l'inchiostro anche sui contorni della parte centrale.
4) per la parte dsotto la cornice ho utilizzato un ritaglio già colorato e ho aggiunto qua e là un pochino di texture con un timbro dal set Tapestry e Crackling Campfire embossing Glaze.
These are the four most important steps in making the tag
1) preparation of the base with Heavystock and Distress spray stain
2) realization of the background with the Specimen set and Archival Black soot ink.
3) creation of the focal point of the tag. I chose the insect that I like best both in terms of size and because it seemed to be the most suitable for being framed. With the help of the platform, I first stamped the central part by carefully inking with Crackling Campfire Oxide Ink Pad and then the rest of the insect with Archival Black soot, using black ink also on the contours of the central part.
4) for the part below the frame I used an already colored cut out of Heavystock and I added here and there a little bit of texture with a stamp from the Tapestry and Crackling Campfire embossing Glaze set.
Sulla cornice ho usato la Crackle paste colorando con Frayed Burlap e Forest moss Distress Paint. Una volta asciugato tutto ho aggiunto uno strato di Collage medium Vintage per sigillare la Crackle paste e sopra qualche tocco di Crayon Walnut stain.
On the Baseboard frame, I used Crackle paste coloring with Frayed Burlap and Forest moss Distress Paint. Once everything was dry, I added a layer of Collage medium Vintage to seal the Crackle paste and a few touches of Crayon Walnut Stain on top
Sullo sfondo in preparazione, che potete vedere nelle foto sopra, le splendide farfalle del set non sono colorate. Io volevo aggiungere un pochino di colore e per farlo ho timbrato nuovamente le farfalle su cartoncino Heavystock e le ho colorate con Distress ink pad. Le ho ritagliate e incollate sulla tag per ottenere l'effetto colorato che volevo.
On the work in progress photo of the background, which you can see in the photos above, the beautiful butterflies are not colored. I wanted to add little pops of color and to do that I stamped the butterflies again on Heavystock cardboard and colored them with various Distress ink pads. I cut them out and pasted them on the tag to get the colorful effect I wanted.
