Sprays and Splashes

Chi mi conosce da qualche tempo sa che in queste sfide io mi sento proprio nella mia comfort zone. Spruzzare, macchiare e colorare è sicuramente quello che mi piace di più fare quando voglio divertirmi e rilassarmi. Ho scelto di realizzare un contenitore/journal ( tagliato con una fustella direi mitica di Eileen Hull -Sizzix 661906) per conservare gli esempi delle tecniche spiegate da Tim Holtz nelle sue dirette su Facebook del sabato pomeriggio. Ho fatto le foto dei passaggi principali e vi faccio una breve descrizione.
Ho iniziato con effetto resist ottenuto timbrando e utilizzando gli stencils con il gesso bianco.
Ho icominciato a colorare usando la tecnica con i Distress ink pads, tamponandoli sul tappetino bianco e spruzzando acqua e infine facendo scivolare sopra il mio cartoncino heavystock e asciugando.
A questo punto ho usato alcuni stencil insieme al Distress Micro Glaze e poi ripetendo ancora la stessa tecnica di prima con gli ink pads fino ad ottenere il risultato che volevo.
Ho tagliato i due punti focali per le copertine esterne utilizzando un vecchio ritaglio già colorato ( un mio esperimento con il gelly print e uno stencil di Tim, il colore era perfetto!
Per le copertine interne ho fatto la stessa cosa e ho realizzato le pagine che riempirò pian piano con le tags che servono da esempio scrivendo in alto i materiali utilizzati per ottenere l'effetto mostrato.
Anyone who has known me for some time knows that in these challenges I feel right in my comfort zone. Spraying, staining and coloring are definitely what I like most when I want to have fun and relax. I chose to create a journal (cut with a die I would say mythical by Eileen Hull - Sizzix 661906 -) to keep the examples of the techniques explained by Tim Holtz in his live on Facebook on Saturday afternoon. I took photos of the main passages and give you a short description.
I started with the resist effect obtained by stamping and using the stencils with white gesso.
I started coloring using the Distress ink pads technique, dabbing them on the white mat and spraying water and finally sliding over with my Heavystock and drying.
At this point I used some stencils together with the Distress Micro Glaze and then repeating the same technique as before with the ink pads until I got the result I wanted.
I cut the two focal points for the outer covers using an old already colored cutout (an experiment of mine with the gelly print and a stencil by Tim), the color was perfect!
For the inside covers I did the same thing and I created the pages that I will fill slowly with the tags that serve as an example by writing at the top the materials used to obtain the effect shown.

Ciao, Barbara,
credo che questo sia uno dei migliori lavori che hai fatto! Mi piacciono moltissimo la combinazione di colori che hai usato e i vari timbri, ma le cose che amo alla follia, e sono da tempo nella mia lista dei desideri, sono lo stencil con i quadratini e soprattutto la fustella con il cuore e l'elettrocardiogramma.
Proverò a partecipare, anche se non sono proprio bravissima in questa tecnica. Intanto mi rifaccio gli occhi guardando le tue creazioni.
