This week we are challenging you to It’s A Dogs Life
The second week for the lovely Cath Wilson aka Inky Fingers as our Designer Spotlight. If you haven’t visited her blog before then you are in for a real treat!
As you may know, the Simon Says Stamp Store is accepting new orders, but have longer shipping times for the moment due to the coronavirus. With this in mind, we have made the difficult decision to suspend the $50 voucher for this challenge.

Oggi per il mio progetto è un trio di tags. E' una formula che mi piace molto, la tag è la mia forma preferita e farne tre con lo stesso concetto mi dà la possibilità di lavorare parecchio con tante cose diverse e il risultato coordinato che ne esce mi piace sempre molto. Spero piaccia anche a voi!
Per cominciare ho rovesciato sulla mia scrivania le mie buste di Paper Dolls in cerca di ...cani! Ne ho trovati alcuni e li ho abbinati a diversi soggetti. Poi ho deciso la palette di colori che volevo usare e le tecniche... ovviamente utilizzando i nuovi prodotti di Tim Holtz come le polveri Glaze e la Grit paste in versione Translucent.
Tecnicamente ho realizzato cinque tags con Distress oxide a Distress stain entrambi in versione spray. Tre di queste tags sono diventate i miei backgrounds e due mi sono servite per tagliare i cerchi, i quadrati e gli esagoni da aggiungere nello sfondo.
Ho timbrato i cerchi, gli esagoni e i quadrati e li ho conservati per aggiungerli al progetto. Prima di fare questo ho tagliato nelle stesse misure i miei cerchi ecc. Li ho usati come maschera sulla tag e ho steso la Translucent Grit paste utilizzando tre diversi stencils e ricoprendo (subito dopo aver tolto lo stencil) con diverse polveri Glaze ( lista materiali alla fine come sempre).
Una volta asciugata la Grit paste usando l'Heat tool ho sciolto le polveri, aggiunto i quadrati ecc., il sentiment e le mie Dolls con i loro cuccioli!
Il lavoro maggiore ovviamente sta nel preparare lo sfondo!

Today for my project I chose a trio of tags. It is a formula that I like very much, the tag is my favorite shape and making three of them with the same concept, gives me the opportunity to work a lot with many different elements, I always love the coordinated result that comes out of it. I hope you like it too!
To begin with, I spilled my Paper Dolls envelopes on my desk in search of ... dogs! I found some of them and matched them with different subjects. Then I decided on the color palette I wanted to use and the techniques ... obviously using Tim Holtz's new products such as Glaze powders and Grit paste in the Translucent version.
Technically I made five tags with Distress oxide to Distress stain in a spray version. Three of these tags have become my backgrounds and two have been used to cut the circles, squares, and hexagons to add to the background.
I stamped the circles, hexagons, and squares and kept them to add them to the project. Before doing this I cut my circles etc. to the same size. I used them as a mask on the tag and I spread the Translucent Grit paste using three different stencils and spreading (immediately after removing the stencil) with different Glaze powders (list of materials at the end as always).
Once the Grit paste was dried using the Heat Tool, I dissolved the powders, added the squares, etc., the sentiments and my Dolls with their puppies!
The main job is obviously to prepare the background!

wonderful tags Barbara - love all the texture in the backgrounds and the combination of the Paper Dolls with dogs. So pretty!
