SIMON MONDAY CHALLENGE STARS

Ciao a tutti!!!

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Lets Sparkle Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week we would like you to add a star or 2 to your creation!
This is the second week for Autumn aka Sew Paper paint as our Designer Spotlight, HERE her fabulous Blog!

Ho preparato la cornice blu all'interno nello stesso modo, Distress Oxides e Heavystock.
Ecco tutorial e dettagli.

This week I made a Christmas box with lights inside. I confess that Tim Holtz's mini lights are really beautiful, comfortable and help to create truly impressive projects.
I started from a cardboard box, I recycled it to create a Christmas decoration. Unusual colors, but this year for me the colors of Christmas are like this, not traditional! It is possible that I also get the inspiration for something more traditional ... you never know ...
I prepared all the bases to cover the box with Distress oxides. The most important and difficult thing was to prepare the semitransparent base to insert the lights. With acetate, it was too transparent and the lights didn't work well, they were just blinding. I attached a sheet of Vellum of the same size to the back of the acetate sheet and the effect is much better.
I prepared the blue frame in the same way, Distress Oxides and Heavystock. For the lights, once the box was completely covered before inserting the base of vellum and acetate, I made a hole in the lower left corner and threaded the head of the lights so as to keep to the outside the part useful for making them work. I have to study the way to hide the part that turns on, I have it in mind but I don't know if I will have time to do it, In the case, I will add a post to explain it to you!
After inserting the head of the lights, I pulled the entire luminous wire around the inside of the box and positioned the lights stopping them with a small piece of transparent adhesive. In the end, I placed the luminous base inside.
I started with decorations, but for those, I don't think there's any need for explanations, I simply chose my subjects and worked on them.
I add the name of the die that I used for Merry Christmas on the cover, it is a few years ago and it is not easy to find, however, if you are interested in,  this the name is  Retro Merry Christmas Tim Holtz Sizzix 662420.
To stay on the theme I used the Tim Holtz Sparkle stencil in the large version, outside with Transparent Gloss Texture Paste and Distress Dy Glitter, inside with Grit Paste and a Stickles Silver thread. The stars are also on the acetate sheet from a Tim Holtz collection. In the back of the box created a star using 3 snowflakes!
In the inner part, the transparent mountains are cut with Vellum and made sparkling with a brushstroke of Wink of Stella Clear.
I apologize for the photos in the tutorial, but I often work at 5 am and taking pictures with artificial light is not my specialty!
Here are tutorials and details.
