Hello everyone! This week double post for my Blog! Every first Friday of every month you can find me on the Blog A Vintage Journey with a new challenge together with all our Creative Guides and their magnificent inspirations! Today the theme is inevitably Holly Jolly Christmas!
Ecco fatto! Semplici e veloci !
Spero vi piacciano, vi lascio i dettagli!
For this theme, I used a set of Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous, Modern Christmas CMS 388, and I made four tags, one for each subject! I am obsessed with the black background and I wanted to try again to see what effects can be created with this color as a base!
The realization is simple! To create the background I used some themed embossing folder and my subjects stamped with white ink and then with Versamark using different colors of embossing powder for each tag. Playing with embossing powders was really fantastic, I mixed a lot of them and I really enjoyed it! The results of color and combinations are particular, two very traditional and two a little more untraditional! Over on the embossed backgrounds, I used Prima Marketing wax to highlight it. Done! Quick and easy!
I hope you like them, here the details!
I hope I was able to give you some ideas for this Christmas! We are waiting for you with your projects on A Vintage Journey Challenge Blog! Thanks for stopping by, I'll see you here soon!

All four tags are stunning Barbara. Such a wonderful use of colour - the green just jumps out! And such wonderful textures too .... I think the crackle embossing folder will be dropping into a basket sometime soon! Have a lovely weekend xxx
Gorgeous tags Barbara, I am loving your use of the black backgrounds and how you have used the embossing folders and embossing powders, so much texture and interest! Love the Modern Christmas stamps too, they are one of my favourites of Tim's releases this year. Thanks so much for sharing your lovely Christmas tags, Deb xo
Love all of your tags. The texture on the backgrounds are amazing and the colors are so non tritonal yet still says Christmas. Happy Holidays, S@ndy
Wow, what stunning tags! I love your designs with the embossing folder background and beautiful metallic accents - amazing 😁. Wishing you a Holly Jolly December! Hugs, Jo x
Stunning Barbara! Amazing idea and designs xx
seriously the best Christmas tags ever! Wow Barbara!
Your tags look amazing Barbara, the textures in the background look superb and I love how you have finished them!!
Barbara, you never disappoint with your gorgeous artwork! These tags are gorgeous eye candy, and you have left my mouth hanging wide open! I love the gorgeous backgrounds, and have tempted me with those modern stamps. Just gorgeous (as always!) Merry Christmas!
What gorgeous tags Barbara! Love the colors, the embossings and the wonderful images! Merry Christmas! xx
I've only just realised that I never caught up with last month's AVJ inspiration (and now the new challenge is almost here!)... what wonderful card designs, Barbara - so original and different from anything else I've seen. They have such drama with those dark, shadowy backgrounds, with sudden hints of light and colour, and the Modern Christmas stamps really look amazing.
I hope you are enjoying some rest and relaxation as well as plenty of fun and creativity in this festive season.
I'm still in Christmas hibernation (don't come out fully until after 12th Night on 6th January!), but am trying to do a bit of catching up with people even so. Happy New Year!
Alison x
