Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Take Flight Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week we are challenging you to take out your inks, stencils, embossing folders etc and Make Your Own Background
There are so many fabulous techniques for making your own backgrounds! We can’t wait to see what you use!
As it is the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a particular company and this time we’re all using some fabulous prodcts from the Carabelle Studio! You don’t have to use them to join in, but if you happen to have some in your drawers then please take them out and give them an airing!
This week we are welcoming the lovely and super talented Jo aka Let’s Art Journal into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven’t visited Joanne’s fabulous blog before then you are in for a real treat! Please pop by and give her a warm welcome and leave her some nice comments ;-)

I think my projects from now on will be almost all about Christmas! I used Carabelle Studio's Grand Cercles Embossing folder to create a slight but visible background for one of new Tim Holtz's snowflakes, I confess... perhaps my favorite!
I used a kraft cardstock and once passed through the Big Shot I highlighted the polka dots with the white ink Yeti by Lawn Fawn. I know that in the photos the effect can not be appreciated well, but if you had the card in your hands ...

As you could see the card is very simple, the snowflake along with the background make it very well the winter atmosphere and to give a festive touch I added a little bit of gold  with  Ranger Vintage foil.
Occasionally  the quote "less is more" may be the best thought .... but only occasionally .... you know that I like to fill  enough my creations!

Ora tocca a voi!

i absolutely love your background, Barbara. The round shape of circles with added texture is stunning, and your colors are amazing. This one belongs on the cover of CARDS magazine, girl! Love it. I'm recovering from shoulder surgery so i can't create anything (can't lift/use right arm for at least 6 weeks) but when i see something this amazing, it's exciting, and i want to try this when my poor little wing is healed and strong. Just can't say enough how much i love this one. Sorry i can't play along, but thanks for the FAB inspiration and super cool technique.
