LOVE IS IN THE AIR + USE RED
With Valentine’s Day in a few days we are getting all romantic and creating for someone we love. As red is the color of love we would like tho see a hint of that in your creation too! We will be looking forward to seeing what you create!
Chi mi conosce sa che non sono una gran romanticona ma quest'anno festeggio 25 anni con mio marito e mi è venuto dal cuore dedicargli questa tela. Ma... c'è un ma! Entrambi non amiamo molto essere fotografati,quindi ho pensato di usare un'immagine dei Found relatives che mi piace particolarmente! Intorno alla foto ho " costruito " la mia tela! Qualche collages con i passaggi principali ( grazie Pickmonkey!). Ho fatto un timido tentativo di mixed media, ma ho davvero tantissimo da imparare! Direi ... tutto!
I dedicated my canvas to my husband and me, because 2016 means to us 25 years of love! We met in 1991 .... Neither of the two likes to be photographed and I used for this project a photo from Found relatives, I did some mixed media experiments ( I must to learn much more in this craft zone!!!) , using Dina Wakley White Gesso and Distress Paint, to finish I gave a touch of red and gold (Vintage shiny foil). At last I added a Word band, perfect to describe my feelings!
I have some pictures for you with the main steps!
Purtroppo ho dimenticato di fotografare un passaggio: quello relativo agli angoli! Nello step mancante di immagini, ho aggiunto, stendendo con le dita, uno strato di Crackle Paint ROCK CANDY Distress Clear Ranger. Una volta asciutta la vernice, ho riempito le crepe con Distress paint Ground Espresso come potete vedere qui sopra!
Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of one step. It concerns corners, on which I added with fingers a layer of Crackle Paint ROCK CANDY Distress Clear Ranger. When paint has dried, I filled the cracks with paint Distress Ground Espresso as you can see above!

Anche in questo progetto ho usato uno dei nuovi materiali presentati al CHA 2016. Ho tagliato il ticket che vedete con il nuovo Idea-ology TEXTILE SURFACES Paperie che contiene 3 tipi di tessuti.
In this project I used one of the new materials presented at CHA 2016. I cut the ticket that you see with the new Idea-ology TEXTILE SURFACES Paperie that contains three types of fabrics, obviously needed !!
Per creare ancora un pò di romanticismo ho usato lo stencil Hearts di Tim Holtz insieme alla Texture paste Transparent gloss e con la polvere Perfect pearl Biscotti.
I've created these hearts with Tim Holtz's stencil and Texture paste Transparent gloss together,
I covered the hearts with Perfect pearl powder Biscotti.

Beautiful canvas Barbara, I love how you showed the step by step photos, the whole design of this is fabulous :-) As much as I love the vintage photo, I do think you should swap that out for a photo of the two of you as this is a celebration of 25 years ;-)

I hate having my picture taken as well. I love that you used some of Tim's "found relatives" as place holders for you and your husband. What a fantastic canvas.
