Ombre is a French word for a color with a shaded tone or varying tones. An example of ombre is a color that fades from dark gray to light gray.
From the popular Hero Arts ink pads to the new Distress DIY ink pads ombre is one trend that is going strong! You can be inspired to use an ink pad, make your own blend of colors, or even go for something monochromatic if you like.
Io amo usare colori della stessa sfumatura e la mia ispirazione per oggi è sempre in tema Halloween! Ho scelto il monocromatico con colori che vanno dal giallo all'arancio, è una tecnica che dà sempre risultati molto piacevoli!
I love to use different shades of color of the same hue, it is a technique that always gives a good result! For this challenge I chose tones to suit on Halloween!
Con lo stencil Shatter e uno dei miei colori preferiti, Hickory smoke, ho creato il motivo su cui incollare le decorazioni di Halloween. Questo splendido gatto fa parte del nuovo Ephemera pack Frightful , pacchetto pieno di immagini vintage!
I created a simple home decor cutting Tim Holtz's Big Ticket . As always I used Ranger Manila Cardstock and I colored it shading three distress ink: Scattered Straw, Spiced marmalade, Rusty hinge.
Stencil Shatter and one of my favorite colors, Hickory smoke, to create the background for my Halloween decorations. This wonderful cat is part of the new Frightful Ephemera pack, pack full of vintage images!
Per la cornice esterna ho usato Ranger Black cardstock sul quale ho timbrato in bianco uno timbro nuovo di Tim che adoro!
For the external frame I used Ranger Black cardstock on which I stamped with white ink a new Tim's stamp that I love so much!
Quest'anno Halloween mi ha ispirato molto e credo non sia finita qui! In fondo c'e' ancora un mese....
This year Halloween has inspired me a lot and I it's not over here! After all there is still a month !!!

a terrific piece of Halloween art ! Barbara . you have demonstrated the ombre technique fabulously in your make both on the background panel and the frame . I have to agree that the colours yellow to orange always gives good results - one of my favourite colour blends . Love the hanger . x
