This is the second week for our Designer Spotlight of February, Linda Kunsmann HERE her gorgeous blog!
Spring is coming and Simon Says Stamp has created a new stunning collection, New beginning, HERE you can see the whole range of products!
This week I adapted myself to the spring and I created two different projects, as you can see. For both two mini step by step!
In this project I used Distress oxides. For the flowers I used Neenah cardstock solar white, I stamped Distress oxides on the mat, I sprayed them with water, and I dried heat tool. In the picture you can see some of the thousands of flowers that I made ! Really, handmade flowers aren't my specialty !
For the background of the card I used Simon Says Stamp Abstract triangles. I stamped with Versamark and embossing powder clear then I colored with Oxides.
Divertente e imprevedibile!
I cut flowers with classic die, Tattered florals bi Sizzix/Tim Holtz. I wet them with water, rolled up and left to dry. In the picture above you see the result. I have arranged the flower and I used Aged Mahogany Distress ink pad on the edges. The funniest thing is that when you go to spray flowers, the color changes again because the Oxides react to water! Fun and fanciful ( I can use fanciful????? I'm waiting for your grammar suggestions! Thank you!)
For the center of the flowers I used a mix of Alcohol inks and Baubles by Tim Holtz.
This year, as I had already announced, will be the year of experimentation and mixing. In this card I tried to mix Simon says Stamp products and adapt them to my style, even the sentiment, Thankful, is a Simon's wafer die.
Secondo lavoro, diversissimo e very vintage!
Second work, very different and very vintage! I was inspired by the bags for the seeds I saw on Pinterest and I tried to give my interpretation. You can use them for some of yours little gifts!
To say that these stamps from Tim Holtz / Stampers Anonymous are perfect is reductive, they are spectacular!
I used to stamp them, Simon Says Stamp Premium Dye Ink Pad BLACK and Zig Kuretake Gansai Tambi to color them. I told you that this is the year of the experiments!
Distress oxides are always in my works because I am trying them in various ways. In this work I used them to color Crinkle Ribbon . These colors, once dried, leave very opaque effect, very nice and definitely more rustic than that obtained with Distress sprays.
As the basis for the stamps I used some sheets from vintage books, very thin. I glued it to a normal sheet for the printer, so as to make them more thick.
Nel retro ho usato un altro set di Stampers Anonymous che mi sembra si adatti particolarmente: On the farm.
In the back I used Stampers Anonymous set On the farm, I think is particularly suitable!
Spero vi siano piaciuti entrambi i progetti!!!
Hope you like both projects!
