Hi everyone ! As every Monday Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog Monday suggests a theme for your creativity: FLORA AND FAUNA ! Have fun with our theme!! This is the second week for our Designer Spotlight for July: AIDA HARON Life and papercrafting, if you have followed us last week you will have seen that masterpieces are her creations!
Maybe because I'm on vacation, maybe because sea theme is one of my favorites, I chose seahorse, starfish, corals and leaves ! I used one of the Tim Holtz dies that I prefere: Mixed media and I created a faux coral as background for my leaves!!
The base of my project is a Dina Wakley Cardboard canvas painted with Distress Crayons and my fingers, I think is one of my favorite things to do!
In this project I have used several Sizzix dies, the little seahorse is adorable and I love using it, new Stitched Tim Holtz dies has been love at first sight !! To create my sea garden I used a mix of new dies and a little "older" dies but always fantastic!
In this moment I have the obsession of shuffling different kinds of embossing powders! This occasion was perfect to create a pink sand!

RispondiEliminaThe coral and blues are wonderful together and totally add to your beach vibe, Barbara! Love how you have mounted it onto the burlap - makes for a great grungy kind of frame around it to really set it off.
