A VINTAGE JOURNEY CHALLENGE RUSTIC CHARM

Ciao a tutti!

Hi everyone! As always every first Friday of the month A Vintage Journey Challenge Blog suggests you a theme to work on over the next few weeks!
Rustic describes a design that is natural, rough, aged and casual. We would love to see you create a project using these elements: think nature inspired textures and simple and earthy colors.  Just remember to create your project in one of our preferred styles: vintage, shabby, mixed media, art journaling, industrial, timeworn or steampunk.

I was inspired by nature and I made a faux wood tiny birdhouse with a small colored inhabitant!
Below are the photos of the tutorial to make the faux wood and the base of the house!

This time I tried to take the photo at every step ... but I confess that it is very difficult for me, I work always instinctively ... and therefore when I start I go on without stopping ... so it is not easy to remember to take pictures every time!
The last photo of the tutorial I made it because I wanted to let you know that sometimes I go to look in my scraps left from previous works ... I do not throw anything away and almost always even a very small piece already painted finds a new life in a new project! In this project the little bird was "built" like this!

We are waiting for you on the A Vintage journey Blog to inspire you with many different and really wonderful projects!
Thanks for stopping by, see you here soon!

  6. Love those scrumptious wood-look textures, especially with the little turquoise accents. Your bird looks great - the warm burnt orange colour tones on him and the flowers are lovely. And the roof tiles are fabulous!
