SIMON MONDAY CHALLENGE RUST IT UP

Rust It Up

Per prima cosa devo dire che questo tema è sicuramente uno dei mie preferiti, quando c'è da sporcarsi le mani con colori polveri alcohol ink ... io sono nel mio mondo!

Per il mio prpgetto settimanale ho utilizzato come base La struttura di Tim Holtz Mini Clipboard alla quale ho cambiato la clip in alto, sostituendola con una più piccola che ho alterato con Alchol ink e polveri.

Mi scuso se in questo periodo non riesco a darvi lo step by step completo ma lavoro molto spesso la mattina presto quando ho solo luce artificile e le foto vengono malissimo! 

Comunque vi lascio la spiegazione scritta e in questo caso le foto degli steps della farfalla.

First of all, I must say that this theme is definitely one of my favorites, when you need to get your hands dirty with alcohol inks, powder, colors ... it's my world!

For my weekly project, I used Tim Holtz Mini Clipboard's structure as the base to which I changed the clip at the top, replacing it with a smaller one that I altered with Alcohol ink and powders.

I apologize if in this period I cannot give you the complete step by step but I work very often at five in the morning, practically at dawn when I have only artificial light and the photos are very bad!

However, I leave you the written explanation and in this case the photos of the butterfly's steps.

Ho usato del cartoncino spesso per tagliare la farfalla, poi ho iniziato con uno strato di Walnut Stain Distress paint. Nella prima foto potete vedere tutte le polveri e i colori che ho utilizzato: tre polveri di Seth Apter, una Ranger Ink e un colore/pasta di Prima Marketing ( in fondo la lista dettagliata di materiali).
Credo che quasi tutti voi abbiate visto la diretta FB della presentazione di Idea-ology 2020 di Tim Holtz e avrete saputo che la collezione Abandoned continuerà ad essere prodotta durante tutto l'anno! Bella notizia perchè è splendida e si presta tantissimo a progetti Mixed media!
Per lo sfondo della mia clipboard ho utilizzato proprio uno dei disegni di questa collezione e l'ho ricoperta completamente. Su due angoli ho utilizzato lo stencil Flourish insieme a Nuvo Expanding Mousse. Appena stesa la mousse e tolto lo stencil ho cosparso con le stesse polveri di prima  aggiungendo qua e là anche un  pizzico di  Garden patina Ranger Ink e di Patina Oxide di Seth Apter e poi ho utilizzato Heat tool per scaldare. L'effetto delle polveri che si fondono mentre la mousse cambia di consistenza e texture è davvero bellissimo... almeno per me!
Sugli angoli opposti ho steso un velo di Distress Collage Medium Crazing poi ho stratificato con le polveri aggiungendo i resti di un barattolino di Micro beads Copper di Prima marketing (questo sinceramente non so se è più in produzione perciò non lo trovate nella lista dei materiali!).
Per riempire le crepe formate con il medium ho usato la cera Firebird di Prima Marketing.
Per la clip ho usato Alcohol ink colore Sepia e Rust e le stesse polveri.
Al centro per sottolineare la frase che ho usato come sentiment il bellissimo cuore di Tim Holtz Faceted Heart nella versione piccola , lavorato con le polveri Garden Patina e Patina oxide.

I used thick cardboard to cut the Tattered butterfly, then I started with a layer of Walnut Stain Distress paint. In the first photo you can see all the powders and colors that I used: three Seth Apter powders, a Ranger Ink and a Prima Marketing color/paste (at the bottom the detailed list of materials).
I think almost all of you have seen  Tim Holtz's Idea-ology 2020 FB live presentation and you will have known that the Abandoned paper collection will continue to be produced throughout the year! Good news because it is splendid and it's absolutely suitable for Mixed media projects!
For the background of my mini clipboard I used one of the Abandoned paper design and I covered completely the base. On two corners I used the Flourish stencil together with Nuvo Expanding Mousse. As soon as I spread the mousse and removed the stencil I sprinkled with the same powders that I used before, so I add here and there also a pinch of Garden patina Ranger Ink and Patina Oxide by Seth Apter and then I used the Heat tool to warm up. The effect of the powders that melt while the mousse changes its texture is really beautiful ... at least for me!
On the opposite corners, I spread a veil of Distress Collage Medium Crazing then I layered with the powders adding the remains of a jar of Microbeads Copper by Prima marketing (this I honestly don't know if it is more in production so you can't find it in the list of materials! ).
To fill the cracks formed with the medium I used Prima Marketing's Firebird wax.
At the center to point up the phrase that I used as sentiment, the fabulous small version of Tim Holtz Faceted Heart, covered with the Garden Patina and Patina oxide powders.
For the clip, I used Alcohol ink Sepia and Rust color and the same powders.
