Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Wild Things Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week we are challenging you to have fun Sprinkling and Splattering whatever you make!
Second week for our Designer Spotlight Anne Redfern aka Redanne, check out her wonderful blog!
I made a card sea themed but with different colors than usual, I confessed I was inspired by the wonderful projects by Aida Haron, a fabulous artist who uses soft and pastel shades in an incredible way! It was not so simple for me cause usually I'm used to choose very intense colors, but it's a direction I'd like to start to following. This is the first step....
To stay on the theme of the week, I used embossing powders, sprayed on my seashell in the background and on the edges of the card. As you can see on the edges of the card they seem really small sprinkles! Thanks to a stamp by Tim Holtz that is part of a set that has a few years, Urban Tapestry. I use it very often when I want to give an irregular texture, small irregular spots ... beautiful, I confess you one of the stamps I've used more than ever! In today's card I used it with Versamark and Ranger Copper Tinsel embossing powder.
The stamp in the center is part of Sea Life by Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous, did you understand that I love this set ????? Today here I officially ask Sizzix ... matching dies for this stamp set! It would be wonderful to have them! Funky Floral 1-2-3-dies by Tim Holtz Sizzix to create the floral arrangement!

Barbara, this is gorgeous! You have certainly proved that you can work in both brights and pastel colours, the background you created for the lobster is gorgeous, the 'greenery' you added is beautiful too! Hugs, Anne xx
RispondiEliminaWonderful arrangement and colors (so harmonious and natural). I have that splatter stamp too--I agree that it's very useful. I know you had fun with this one and hope you get your wish for Sea Life die cuts.
RispondiEliminaThis is absolutely amazing and you really got very close to Aida's style which I also adore for her soft pastels. Your main composition is brillant and I love the layers of florals and seashells. The explore word cut out of the woodgrain panel is so cool and gives such a warmth to this fabulous card. Hugs, Marzena
