Oggi l'argomento è A TRIO OF SOMETHING.
Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Inside The Box Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week we are challenging you to think in threes A Trio Of Something
As this is the first challenge of the month we are showcasing a particular brand/designer. this week we have all used something designed by the lovely Dyan Reaveley. You don’t have to use her products to join in, but if you have something then we would love to see them used.
We are welcoming the lovely and super talented Paula Roomer aka PaNaRoo into the Designer Spotlight. Paula is very new to blogging and I am sure she would love to see some people pop by her blog to leave some love and to become a follower too. Lets all give this talented designer a real big Simon boost!
For this challenge I thought of using Dyan's sprays as watercolors to color Tim Holtz / Stampers Anonymous's Glorious Bouquet stamp, spectacular stamp.
To create the background I used Distress Oxide Antique Linen mixed with Distress Spray Picket fence. I stamped with Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous's Lattice and Flourish set with Antique linen Distress oxide to get a tone-on-tone effect.
I lined up all Dyan's sprays that I own, I stamped and then I chose the colors!
I decided to use these three colors, to respect our topic: Pomegranate seed, Ground coffee and Fresh lime. I mixed them together to create different shades, I just added a drop of Lemon zest to dark red to have on orange hue.
Eccovi gli usuali close ups!
Close ups, as usual!
I'm not good at coloring with watercolors, I really should apply me a lot and learn something .... but the final effect seems acceptable to me and I hope you like it too!
To complete the card, I used two butterflies from the Idea-ology Botanical paperie pack, a variety of Tim Holtz's Design tapes and a bow made with a thread from the Idea-ology Paper String Solids pack. In the middle of the bow a very bright brad taken from my personal stock. And as a sentiment the word Love directly from the new dies Sizzix Tim Holtz Shadow script 1.
The card is simple but the stars are Dyan's sprays that have made Tim's stamp splendidly lively. And to think that I started from the idea of doing something on more neutral colors .... I can not be able to do it, my attitude is not that ... I think I should just accept it!
