Hello everyone! I thank you for all the wonderful comments you have made on social media where Tim presents the projects of this series. Today I'm here to show you my vignette tray themed Halloween of course!
Making these projects is really fun! I wanted to create a kind of theater with curtains and skeletons looking at the alchemist!
Here is a super short tutorial to realize the structure and curtains!
To paint the structure I used a mix of Distress Paint: Black soot and Walnut stain. In this way you create a strange color that is neither black nor brown, I like it a lot and I use it often.
What you see in this photo is not the common gauze I usually use but a kind of crinoline. I used this because once wet with the Distress Spray, when it completely dries back to be stiff and much more modelable than the gauze.
I designed a curtain model (do not laugh because I'm really a tragedy to make these kind of things!), I did some folds and under the gray curtain I add a piece of gauze, painted with Distress stain Spiced Marmalade and Carved pumpkin. You can see better in the pics of details.
For the background I used a sheet by Materialize paper stash, I altered it with Distress Oxide Antique linen and then I used the Grit paste with a stencil to create contrast and texture.
