Questa settimana il nostro tema è BASED ON A BOOK.
Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
Thanks for all of your fabulous entries into the ‘Transport It’ Challenge and we hope you will join in this week too!
This week we are challenging you to: Based On A Book.
You can interpret this challenge in many ways, you can use pages of a book as part of your project or use the theme of a book as your inspiration. We will be looking forward to seeing where this challenge takes you!
This is Nicola’s last week with us in the Designer Spotlight and we would like to say a huge thank you for all of your creations over the past few weeks. It has been a great pleasure to have you along with us!
When I read the title of the challenge I had some difficulties, the books I love are many and choosing between them is not easy! Tim Holtz came to my aid (as almost always!) with the new stamps!
Victorian set immediately made me think to one of the books I read when I was really young. I promise myself to read it again to understand the difference of interpretation caused by the age! The book is Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen and this stamp was very suitable! To me it seems perfect to represent Elizabeth!
Design of my card is very simple but I think that this stamp is the real star and that it's no need to many addition!
For background and the oval I used the same stencil: Ornate. For background of my card I used it like a stencil, in the oval I used it like a stamp. I sprayed the stencil with Tea Dye Distress stain spray and I stamped it on Manila cardstock. I utilized a brayer over on my cardstock to stamp the image in a better way.
I added these little roses painted with Alcohol inks to give a romantic feeling and a pretty bow made with Crinkle ribbon for a vintage touch.
