Hi to everyone !!!! This week Simon Monday Challenge suggests you to let yourself be inspired by the season and our theme is: LET THERE BE SNOW! I love the winter, cold, Christmas so ... it's perfect !!!! This is the second week that we have with us Cate Dixson a talented girl of 15 years! You can see her work on the lovely Jenn Shurkus's Blog!
This challenge is really came at the right time! Every year I make a Christmas decoration for my best friend and I hope you'll like this!
The Vignette Box House is fabulous for this kind of work, in this case I also added the lights!
Dal momento che il tema di oggi è la neve ho pensato di lasciarvi un mini tutorial con le foto della preparazione dello sfondo e dei piccoli fiocchi di neve appesi.
Since today the theme is the snow, I thought to make a mini tutorial with steps by steps for the creation of the background and little hanging snowflakes!
First step: cover our house with paper. Then cut out the snowflakes on white cardboard and paste them inside the Vignette Box.
Secondo step: stendere il gesso bianco e una volta asciutto colorare con i Distress Crayons! Poi provare il montaggio del vostro paesaggio.
Second step: apply gesso and once it has dried coloring with Distress Crayons! Then try the assembly of your landscape.
Third step: glue the paper you have chosen for the trees on a white cardstock,to give solidity . At this point decorate with snowflake paste and glue them inside the house.
Fourth step: the hanging snowflakes. I wanted to see that they descend from the sky making see the background. I thought to stamp snowflakes with white ink on acetate and then I've embossed them with with embossing powder. I've cut them and locked the silver thread to hang them with glue and a small circle of paper.
Quinto step: con una goccia di colla a caldo ho fermato il filo sulla parete superiore della Vignette box!
Fifth step: with a drop of hot glue I blocked the wire on the upper wall of the box Vignette!
E ora qualche particolare!
Close ups!

RispondiEliminaAwesome project! I love the technique for faux-woodgrain trees, and I also like the words around the edges of the vignette house.
RispondiEliminaI just adore your wintry shadow box - what a fabulous little scene you created - and it lights up too... a magical piece of festive decor. The snowy sky, the embossed acetate snowflakes and that wonderful layer of snow on the roof - it's all so fabulous.
