Ciao a tutti !
Hi to everyone and happy Monday! This week the theme of our challenge is: Treat Bag/Box!
With Halloween and Christmas fast approaching I think most of us need to make a few gift/treat bags or boxes! We will be looking forward to seeing what you create!
This month our Designer Spotlight is NIKKI ACTON, check out ADDICTED TO ART ( her blog), it's wonderful!!
I confess that I've always liked to create packaging! Today I have prepared four Halloween packaging!! I chose the traditional Halloween colors , black and orange, to give a common thread to my project! For three of them, the small envelope, the little bag and pumpkin I used some Sizzix/ Tim Holtz dies (the material list as always bottom of the post!). Here are the details:
I used Tim Holtz Mixed Media Halloween for the first two packages, I love how you can create nice layers with contrasting colors! For the bag, I used spider web and I filled it with Grit paste painted with Distress paints ( Carved pumpkin and Rusty hinge). Once Grit paste has dried I used Distress crayons over it, Spiced Marmalade and Walnut stain.
For the envelope I simply put a piece of black cardstock under the bats and of course I kept the little bats to use them in all packages! In the back of the two packages I am gone fishing ( I can say this?) in the Curiosities Ephemera pack!
This pack fits well with the candy bars, just a piece of kraft cardstock folded in half and sewn. To decorate I used again Grit pastes with a mini stencil and I got to put the broom in a project, I like so much this broomsticks!
