Ciao a tutti! Lunedì è sinonimo di nuova sfida su Simon Syas Stamp Monday Challenge Blog! Oggi vogliamo vedere cosa significa per voi EMBOSS IT!
Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
Today the challenge is
EMBOSS IT
This week we are using embossing folders, heat embossing and using embossing pastes. If you can think of other ways to emboss we would love to see your techniques too!
This is the second week we have as Designer spotlight the lovely and super talented Kassa aka Delight In The Detail into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven’t seen Kassa’s blog then you are in for a great treat! Please pop by and leave her a comment.
You know I love the sea theme! Sand & sea die by Tim Holtz/Sizzix is perfect for this challenge! I love to mix embossing powders. For my project I used various Stampendous powders: Stampendous SHABBY WHITE Embossing Enamel, Stampendous AGED IVORY Embossing Enamel and a little pinch of Stampendous AGED COPPER Embossing Enamel. Background was created with the Paper mosaic technique: it seems really the ocean!
Let's start from the top: the small circle was created following THIS brilliant Wendy Vecchi's tutorial, which provides the recipe, complete with dosages to be used to achieve this! You try: is fantastic!
On sand dollar I had fun with the Stampendous powders: Aged Ivory, Shabby white and a pinch of Copper, Walnut Stain Distress Crayon on the edges.
The base of the star is Grout (paper Mosaic kits) colored with a drop of Walnut Stain Distress paint and the mosaic is made with scraps of Dapper collection.
I obtained the word SEA from Stacked Word Christmas Decorative strip of Tim Holtz: I cut it on cardboard Craftcore core'dinations and embossed with clear powder.
For the background, I used the technique of April tag, I prepared a base with alcohol ink ( you find all colors I used at the bottom in the supplies list) and I cut with the punch Mixed Media 3. How I love this technique?
You'll not find the little fish at no on line shop ..... because it was the pendant of an unpaired earring that I have kept! Of course it was different, in the central part had some really horrible orange stripes, but heat embossing ..... solves many problems!
