Ciao a tutti!
Hello to everyone! This week the challenge is "Create something beginning with the Letter N!
‘N’ is for Naughty or Nice, Nautical, Navy, New, November, Neutral, whatever you can think of! We will be looking forward to seeing what ‘N’ you use for your crafty project!
I choose N for Neutral! I created this Christmas decoration using only neutral tones, without "true" colors. I love Burlap surface as a background. Over it, I tried to use Ranger VINTAGE Shiny Transfer Foil Sheets . Tim Holtz's Feathered wings are perfect for this project, I covered them with Distress Crackle Paint Clear rock candy! Only use neutral tones was a difficult challenge to myself!
I have a short tutorial to explain how I create frame, background and wings.
I started from Ikea Sondrum frame. But it's white and I can't use in this way!
I used different layers of Distress Paints: first Rusty Hinge, after I've mixed Ground espresso and Black soot for the second layer.
Once all is dried, I scratch the frame and cover the lines with Rusty hinge Distress ink Pad.
On the small spheres around the frames, I used Ranger Foil Sheets Vintage with Collage Glue stick.
The background is a Burlap textured surface. I stamped with Versamark on the Burlap surface , sprinkled with embossing powder and heated up, adhere the foil with your fingers .
Questo è il risultato! Vi piace?????????
This is the final effect! You like it?
To create wings there are four steps. Step 1 cut the wings with one sheet of grungeboard, step 2 paint with Antique linen Distress paint and cover with Distress Crackle paint clear rock candy, step 3 you make infiltrate Tarnished brass Distress Paint into the cracks.
The fourth step is not documented, but I'll explain with words!
When all is PERFECTLY dry, use the Glue'n'seal. Let dry also this layer, to obtain a porcelain effect I used Distress Picket fence paint in a thin layer. . This is the result!
Ecco i particolari!
