SIMON SAYS MONDAY CHALLENGE : HOMEGROWN SUMMER!

Ciao a tutti! La sfida di oggi su SIMON SAYS MONDAY CHALLENGE BLOG ha come tema "Homegrown Summer", si può tradurre ( spero!) con  "qualcosa che cresce d'estate nei nostri giardini o nelle nostre case". Ho letto l'argomento e subito ho sorriso! Io sono nata e cresciuta d'estate , quando si dice una coincidenza, proprio oggi è il mio compleanno! Per questo ho voluto dedicare a me stessa il mio progetto!

Design team member  Michelle has a summer challenge for us this week! She says: " So many things have grown in the Summer. Inspiration can be found in backyard gardens and jars of freshly canned veggies or maybe children who have grown like weeds. Or an idea that's just taken root. There's a lot of room for growth. ( Pun intended.)"
 

What a coincidence ~ this week when I read the theme of this challenge and the date of publication, immediately I started to smile and the first thing that came to my mind was .... myself! Today, it is my birthday and I want to dedicate this project  to me! I was born and grown in the summer so..... I created this!

Ho scelto una tela canvas  sulla quale ho usato una miriade di Idea-ology! La foto che vedete  nella Mini Cabinet Card frame è davvero mia! Sono io a 1 anno circa, nell'ormai lontanissimo 1963 ( fate un po' i vostri conti....!)
Non ci sono tecniche particolari questa settimana mi sono concentrata sul design e la composizione del lavoro.  La cosa più particolare che ho fatto è stata "sbiancare" il sughero che ho usato per le decorazioni, ricoprendolo con uno strato di Picket fence. Il colore dopo questa operazione è perfetto, ha perso quel tantino di giallo che non volevo vedere sulla mia tela.

I made a canvas using all sorts of Idea-ology products! The little girl you see in the frame is me when I was one year old! Really vintage!!! In this project I did'nt use  a special technique, I  focused  on  only the design and arrangement of my work . The only thing I did was to lighten the cork with  a layer of Picket fence Distress Paint t. Now the color of cork is perfect, it's  faded as I wanted!!!

Un altro particolare che ha richiesto un pochino di lavorazione è la Clipboard clip in alto. L' ho sporcata con Picket fence e con Cracked Pistachio, ( l'ho fatto con le dita perchè il risultato è migliore che con il pennello ), ho cosparso  polvere Cement Ranger e l'ho scaldata ma solo quello che bastava per farla aderire.

I distressed the  Clipboard clip with a layer of  Picket Fence and Cracked Pistachio and a touch of Ranger Cement Embossing powder.

Ho usato la  Ranger Texture Paste Transparent Matte insieme al mio stencil preferito, Latticework, sulla destra vicino alla mia foto e sulla sinistra in alto sopra alle farfalle. Bellissimo effetto, prima  prova supersoddisfacente!

Oramai lo sapete che Cracked Pistachio è un  colore che amo e l'ho usato come filo conduttore della mia tela.

You know that Cracked Pistachio is one of my favourite colors of  Distress and I used it to link all the elements of my canvas!

Tagliare il sughero con la fustella Mixed media non è stato semplicissimo ma il risultato è esattamente quello che cercavo!

I used "mixed media" dies with cork  and it hasn't been  simple! !!!! But the result ....... wow,  exactly as I wanted!

Mi sono divertita a giocare con i particolari: le roselline colorate con Distress paint Pumice Stone, un tocco di cardstock metallico , qualche nota di rosso, le lettere alterate, filmstrip, le mie adorate frecce, remnant rubs.

 I had fun  with the details: little roses colored with Pumice Stone Distress Paint, a touch of metallic cardstock, some hint of red, altered Letterpress , Filmstrip, my beloved metal arrows and  Remnant rubs.
