Thank you for joining us for the Spritz and Splatter Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too. This week we are challenging you to add some: Glimmer and Sparkle.
Ormai sono completamente immersa nel periodo Halloween e questa è stata l'occasione per provare tanti prodotti nuovi! Ho iniziato con i Distress Mica stain su cardstock nero. Ho scelto quello per gli Alcohol Inks perchè è molto liscio e ha uno spessore, secondo me, perfetto.
Prima degli spray ho realizzato la luna con il gesso bianco e poi, utilizzando la nuova maschera di Tim Holtz per proteggerla, ho spruzzato i Mica Stain. Una volta finito lo sfondo, ho provato a creare con un blending tool una specie di alone intorno alla luna. Dopo aver completato la luna ho aggiunto il sentiment dal set Bold Frights di Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous.
I am now completely immersed in the Halloween mood and this was an opportunity to try many new products! I started with Distress Mica stain on black cardstock. I chose the one for the Alcohol Inks because it is very smooth and has a perfect thickness, in my opinion.
I made the moon with white gesso and then, using Tim Holtz's new mask to protect it, I sprayed the Mica Stains. Once the background was finished, I tried to create a kind of halo around the moon with a blending tool and gesso. After completing the moon I added a sentiment from Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous' Bold Frights set.
A questo punto avevo voglia di creare un effetto con gli stencil, ma un effetto che non coprisse lo sfondo perchè i Mica Stain sono davvero bellissimi e molto luminosi, e coprirli completamente mi dispiaceva. Quindi ho penssato di utilizzare uno degli stencil Shifter Multi Harlequin con due polveri da embossing trasparenti, la Clear che risulta lucida e la Frosted Crystal che risulta opaca. Devo dire che mi è piaciuto il risultato finale, riempie lo spazio senza coprire il colore.
At this point, I wanted to create an effect with the stencils, but an effect that did not cover the background because the Mica Stains are really beautiful and very bright, and I was sorry to cover them. So I thought of using one of the Shifter Multi Harlequin stencils with two transparent embossing powders, the Clear which is shiny and the Frosted Crystal which is opaque. I have to say I liked the final result, it fills the space without covering the color.
Per la cornice ho riciclato una confezione di Etcetera Pinked Trims Chipboard, ho tagliato òe parti dentellate sottili, le ho colorate con Distress Ink Black Soot, e ricoperte con il glitter Nightfall dal set Sparkle.
For the frame, I recycled a pack of Etcetera Pinked Trims Chipboard, cut out thin serrated parts, colored them with Distress Ink Black Soot, and covered them with Nightfall glitter from the Sparkle set.
Per completare ho aggiunto qualche nuvola tagliata con la fustella Sizzix Ghost Town 2.
