La mia tag non poteva che essere ispirata al nuovo colore Distress, Speckled Egg! L'ho utilizzato in quasi tutte le sue differenti versioni e confesso che è amore vero! E' il colore che avevo nella testa da tanto e che dico con sincerità mi mancava! Si è materializzato improvvisamente e credo ne farò un uso smodato nei prossimi progetti!
La tag di oggi è un ritorno al passato, ho utilizzato una fustella decisamente "anziana" con nuovi materiali insieme a timbri e stencil decisamente più recenti. Le Paper Dolls sono senza età, praticamente perfette sotto ogni aspetto come direbbe Mary Poppins!
My tag could only be inspired by the new Distress color, Speckled Egg! I have used it in almost all its different versions and I confess that it is true love! It is the color that I had in my head for a long time and that I say with sincerity I was missing! It suddenly materialized and I think I will make immoderate use of it in future projects!
Today's tag is a throwback, I used a decidedly "old" die with new materials together with decidedly more recent stamps and stencils. Paper Dolls are ageless, practically perfect in every way as Mary Poppins would say!
Qui sotto c'è il tutorial che credo sia abbastanza chiaro, preciso che manca la foto della Distress Translucent Grit Paste sul calamaio, che ho cosparso con le polverui Glaze. Una volta asciutta la pasta ho scaldato la polvere e ho aggiunto con Alcohol ink Alloy un po' di brillantezza.
Below is the tutorial that I think is quite clear, I specify that the photo of the Distress Translucent Grit Paste that I used on the inkpot together with the Glaze powders is missing. Once the paste was dry I warmed the powders and added a little shine with Alcohol Ink Alloy

Il tema è veramente alla portata di tutti (chi non ha almeno una fustella o un timbro cerchio?) per cui aspettiamo di vedere dove vi porta la fantasia nell'utilizzo di questa forma!

This is Cath’s last week with us in the Designer Spotlight and we would like to say a huge thank you for all of your creations over the past month. It has been a real pleasure having you along with us
In attesa del nuovo colore di Tim Holtz, Speckled Egg che è sicuramente uno di quelli che avrei voluto da sempre e rischia di diventare uno tra i miei tre... diciamo cinque... preferiti assoluti, questa settimana ho deciso di tentare un esperimento!
Ho realizzato una Etcetera tag nella mia misura preferita, Mini, ma ad un solo strato, senza usare abbellimenti 3D, cornici ecc, ho usato solo timbri, stencil, inchiostri, paste e polveri!
Il risultato è differente dal solito, ma confesso che mi sono divertita moltissimo a farla e non mi dispiace, che per me che sono ipercritica con me stessa, è una cosa davvero positiva!
Essendo una cosa uscita direttamente dalle mani e dal cuore e realizzata davvero in pochissimo tempo non ho foto... purtroppo. Tento di spiegarvi in brevissimo come l'ho realizzata!
Ho iniziato con l'idea di utilizzare la tecnica che ha spiegato Tim Holtz in una delle sue meravigliose dirette Facebook del sabato ( QUI potete rivedere il video, la trovate circa dopo un'ora e mezza dall'inizio del video), quella con Micro Glaze e stencil.
E' una tecnica che mi piace tantissimo e ho provato ad utilizzarla con colori tenui, il risultato mi ha davvero soddisfatto.
Nelle foto dei dettagli potete vedere da vicino come sono belli i cerchi dello stencil Screwed che ho utilizzato appunto con il Micro Glaze. Dopo aver fatto questo, ho iniziato a stratificare ma solo con timbri e stencil. Il punto focale è uno splendido timbro di Wendy Vecchi Stampers Anonymous Circle Collage (non nuovissimo, per la verità si fa fatica a trovarlo in Italia) e all'interno una delle mie figure preferite dal set di Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Theories.
Per il resto mi sono divertita con colori e timbri, da spiegare non c'è molto, dovete solo provare!

Waiting to have in hand the new color of Tim Holtz, Speckled Egg which is surely one of the ones I have always wanted and it's possible it becomes one of my three ... let's say five ... absolute favorites, this week I have decided to try an experiment!
I made an Etcetera tag in my favorite size, Mini, but in a single layer, without using 3D embellishments, metal, frames, etc., I only used stamps, stencils, inks, pastes, and powders!
The result is different from the usual, but I confess that I had a lot of fun doing it and I don't mind, that for me ( I'm hypercritical with myself ) is a really positive thing!
Being something that came directly from the hands and the heart and really made in a very short time I have no photos ... unfortunately. I try to explain to fastly how I made it!
I started with the idea of using the technique that explained Tim Holtz during one of his wonderful Saturday Facebook lives (HERE you can review the video, you can find it about an hour and a half from the beginning of the video), the technique with Micro Glaze and stencil.
It's a technique that I like very much and I tried to use it with soft colors, the result really satisfied me.
In the photos below you can see up close how beautiful are the circles of the Screwed stencil that I used with the Micro Glaze. After doing this I started to stratify but only with stamps and stencils. The focal point is a splendid stamp by Wendy Vecchi Stampers Anonymous, Circle Collage, and inside one of my favorite figures from the set of Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Theories.
For the rest I had fun with colors and stamps, there is not much to explain, you just have to try!
