SIMON MONDAY CHALLENGE FLOWER POWER

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.
Thank you for joining us for the Doodle Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week we are challenging you to add some flowers to your project:  Flower Power!!!
Another week for Paula Rooner as Designer Soitlight, HERE her fabulous blog!

To stay completely on the theme, today I chose a floral motif by Tim Holtz available in three versions: stamp, stencil and die. I used this motif to decorate Tim's little houses with inevitably spring colors!

I used Distress oxides in various spring colors to create background and I used Distress ink pad to highlight the edges.

In this little house I used  Tim Holtz Stampers Anomynous Vines & roses. I stamped it with white ink on a kraft cardstock and I used Ranger Clear embossing powder with Heat tool. In this way I created a resist effect and I colored with Distress oxides.

In the picture above you can clearly see the effect of clear powder on  the white ink, it creates a resist effect with a non-uniform color really interesting ... I like very much, I hope you too!

For the second house I used  Tim Holtz Sizzix Mixed Media 5 die. First I prepared the background with the Oxides and  with the same inks I prepared  two sheets from which I got the colored parts to be used to fill the die, as you can see below.

In the back of the pink/orange house and above the roofs of both I used the stencil version with Distress oxide Walnut stain.

Ora tocca a voi!

It was such a pleasure to see how you used one design (Tim's roses) in different ways (I only have the stencil). I love the look of the embossed stamping and adding back multi-colored bits to the die-cut. I imagine these were a lot of fun to make and they are REALLY cute!
