Ciao a tutti! Lunedì significa nuovo tema su Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog! Tema di oggi MAKE YOUR OWN BACKGROUND, praticamente il mio tema preferito , anche perchè per me è proprio alla base di quasi tutti i miei progetti!
Oggi hi deciso di cambiare e usare gli Alcohol Inks perchè è tanto tempo che non lo faccio. Ho scelto i nuovi stencil e timbri di Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous e una farfalla della collezione vault, Scribbly Butterfly è il nome della fustella. Ho utilizzato una tecnica con gli alcohol Inks che potete trovare sul tutorial di Tim circa un'ora e un quarto dall'inizio del video. La tecnica prevede di posizionare lo stencil sulla superficie che state usando( nel mio caso Yupo White Heavystock) dopo aer spruzzato leggermente con la Blending Solution e poi cospargere con i colori di vostra scelta aiutandovi con le dita (mettete i guanti!) e lasciare per un po' di tempo in questa posizione. Quando andrete a togliere delicatamente lo stencil, vedrete il disegno che avete scelto con colori vivaci e intensi. A questo punto spruzzate un altro po' di Blending Solution sullo stencil che avete tolto e utilizzate un altro cardstock. Il risultato è che il disegno sarà ovviamente rovesciato e un pochino più chiaro. Nella foto che c'è alla fine del post potete vedere i risultati di questa tecnica. Al centro ho messo uno dei fiori dello splendido set Abstract Florals e la farfalla della collezione Vault, entrambi usati con la polvere da Embossing Vintage Pearl. Nella tag con la farfalla dopo aver completato il background con gli Alcohol Ink ho posizionato lo stencil Spots. Ho deciso di fare un esperimento: ho usato la Black Paste e l'ho coperta usando un pennello morbido con vari colori di Perfect Pearls, poi ho lasciato asciugare. L'effetto mi è piaciuto e la povere si è come "incollata" alla pasta. Spero che il racconto di come ho realizzato le mie tags vi sia utile e che vi siano piaciute!

Hi everyone! Monday means a new theme on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog! Today's theme MAKE YOUR OWN BACKGROUND, is practically my favorite theme, also because for me it is the basis of almost all my projects!
Today I decided to change it up and use Alcohol Inks because it's been a long time since I've done that. I chose the new stencils and stamps from Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous and a butterfly from the Vault collection, Scribbly Butterfly is the name of the die. I used a technique with alcohol inks that you can find on Tim's tutorial about an hour and a quarter into the video. The technique involves placing the stencil on the surface you are using (in my case Yupo White Heavystock) after lightly spraying it with the Blending Solution and then sprinkling it with the colors of your choice using your fingers (wear gloves!) and leaving it for some time in this position. When you gently remove the stencil, you will see the design you have chosen with bright and intense colors. At this point, spray a little more Blending Solution on the stencil you removed and use another cardstock. The result is that the drawing will obviously be reversed and a little clearer. In the photo at the end of the post, you can see the results of this technique. In the center I placed one of the flowers from the splendid Abstract Florals set and the butterfly from the Vault collection, both used with Embossing Vintage Pearl powder. In the tag with the butterfly, after completing the background with the Alcohol Inks, I positioned the Spots stencil. I decided to do an experiment: I used Black Paste and using a soft brush I covered it with various colors of Perfect Pearls, then let it dry. I liked the effect and the powder seems "glued" to the pasta. I hope that the story of how I created my tags is useful to you and that you liked them!
